I’ve been loving the iRacing content. A couple things that helped me: 1. Crew Chief is a must if you haven’t gotten that yet. The callouts are much better than standard Iracing. 2. Trading paints really adds to the immersion. Allows for custom liveries with lots of community created content. 3. With all these plugins you may get a little overwhelmed with remembering to open everything for each race. Iracing manager will help with that. Set it to launch on PC startup and then whenever you launch an Iracing session it will open everything for you. Small Note: The 0x car contact incidents will remain at 0x unless the car you contacted incurs an additional incident. At which point you’ll incur those points as well. Say you bump someone and trigger a 0x, if they then slide off into a wall you will incur a penalty equal to the penalty points they receive. Happy racing!

I guess we shouldn't be surprised by how quick of a study you are on some of the most difficult cars on iRacing, but winning your first race in F4 is very impressive. I am loving the iRacing videos, the F1 game can't compare in terms of showing your advanced race craft.

TSR tip list: 1. trading paints, custom liveries that that other people made where u can sub to and use it for the car 2. mirrors, in graphics settings u can turn on your mirrors in car so u dont see black where there is supposed to be a mirror

Don't forget you can turn the Halo 'off' in the 'chassis' option in garage.

yep, turn on mirrors despite having the virtual one, and lose half of your fps

Mirrors tank the framerate heavily in iRacing tho (even more so than the other sims). I like to turn them off and use virtual mirror for an easy fps increase (I like to keep iRacing at at least 80 FPS to make sure even if it tanks for some reason it won't go below 60). It's not like iRacing is a game for immersive graphics anyway, it's an e-sports game

@@ElShogoso I run in VR with car mirrors only, no virtual mirror. Rock solid 90fps on HP Reverb G1. I really don't think they're as bad for that as people say they are. There are plenty of other things that can be done to help optimize frame rates. Turning crowds off is a pretty good start 😂

IMO this has been a real pleasure to watch you drive. I would even say that Iracing is helping to bring out your natural talent for driving. And as your quickly seeing also there are so many more facets to it that just make it a better more well rounded experience. Wow what a video that was! So nice to see how you are liking it as well mate! I would suggest to do at least 1 more F4 race today or tomorrow (monday) and try to gain 0,16 safety rating so you get into the 3.00. Because from tuesday onwards you cant gain any more safety rating till next season. If you manage to get into the 3.00 you will be promoted to C class after next week. But again, i really really enjoyed this one 😊 i mean, it makes me smile watching this and i think that should be one of the main reasons why creators are making their content. Im also very impressed how you develop so quickly! GG bro! I'm very proud of you and being a friend of you 💚

Hey mate, FYI you can turn the centre halo off in the setup options, in fixed you have to do it before every session. Also, you can turn up your "Number of Mirrors" in the gfx settings to get your side mirrors not black :) Good to see you on iRacing 👍 edit: just got to the race and can see you turned the halo off for the race :D

You should got to the audio settings in game and set the output device for the spotter. It will tells you when someone is close to you and in racelabs you can use the radar too (its really usefuyl)!!! Great video as always!!!

Nice to see you happy JD! I was used to play F1 since I'm a fan of the sport. But I just bought my first decent wheel (G920) and decided to try iracing in part due to your channel. I'm in love with the game. It will take a lot of time for me to become a somehow competitive driver since I was never good even in F1 but I'm enjoying every spin with my Vee hahaha. My goal is to race on each series in the road to indy, just to try something different and learn about american motorsport since it is so well represented in this game. Nice race man !! Couple tips for Iracing for now is to adjust your FOV with a FOV Calculator, that helps a lot. And also use simhub with a car radar to help you be aware of cars around you too !!

This is so much better than the F1 game! Gotta say I would personally prefer if you kept uploading these races here along with your retrospective commentary rather than livestreaming. These first few iRacing vids have been so awesome to watch! It enables you to focus 100% on the driving (no live chat distraction or whatever else) and I really like your commentary. This is alot of fun to watch man, and really nice that you are enjoying yourself. What I also can recommend is RF2 (15 euro if you do not have it already) and then do LFM F3 exactly the same point system as iracing only RFactor2 also has flatspots that you can feel in your FFB which is really cool to experience. Anyways I really enjoy the iracing content!

My best iRacing pro tip is to always make sure your force feedback strength is set to “auto” for each different car you drive. iRacing will auto generate the proper FFB number after you run a couple laps and this number will vary significantly from an F1 car to a Mazda Miata based on downforce and grip levels. Having your FFB too high will cause your wheel to “clip” and this will drown out the FFB detail

I recommend putting the delta to “Session” as opposed to “All time” because the track is not always the same temp/and or rubbered in as much. This can lead to chasing laptimes that simply are impossible with current track conditions

Yeah more of this, actual racing and not a mess like the f1 games. Before the race make sure to enable fast repair and to untick the refuel button. If you don't then the pit stops are a lot longer if you crash out and you also get fuelled up loads which is unnecessary.

I don’t know how good your PC is, but iRacing in VR is a game changer. It seems to have the best performance with my Reverb G2 out of any sim. The immersion is off the charts Driving the W12 in VR is unreal

Dunno how strong your PC is,but i noticed you’re only getting 84 fps,this is the games default limit. You can change it to vsync or no limit in options-graphics-advanced to gain more fps.

Good race, nice job Would be cool to see you try the dirt ovals, having to slide your car around and find grip with other cars all around you can be really intense and fun What kind of monitor setup are you using? Unless you're on an ultrawide it looks like your field of view is too wide. When it is narrower you won't really be able to see too much of the mirrors and having them on is just wasted graphics performance.

Even 1% brake pressure can cause rotation or oversteer like you had through spoon. Also if you have a 144hz+ monitor you can change the fps limit in graphics
