This video would have been excellent had you edited out all the owner's commentary. I think h'e confused between his car and an GTR. CPE was the perfect brand of parts for him. I'd be willing to bet good money he didn't turn a wrench on one of them. Just an FYI, to put things into perspective here mod for mod a GT will still smash an RS after about 60-80mph. I'd be willing to bet a GT with intake/exhaust and tune would beat this car in a 1 mile flat out race. The RS is an amazing car for what it is, but it's not that fast when you look at the price tag. You launch control, awesome handling, and 0-60. I'm not saying I'd never buy one, I'm only saying I'd have a good look at the rest of the options. Sometimes I like to keep going fast after 60mph.

If all he has are bolt ons and a tune it's not going to be running more than about 400bhp at the crank. 450+? Exceptionally unlikely if the tuner knew what they were doing. Without changing the turbo, injectors and uprating the engine internals that tune won't be safe at all.

Folks don't forget, if you want the full 335-340 hp stock, no it's not 350, you must use 93-95 octane, otherwise your stuck with 315-320 hp on 91... And, the max hp is on,y a brief 10-12 seconds in overboost only.

The only reason it made high ish numbers is because you have to disconnect the awd system and make it fwd so the loss is less. But on the road you'll have less power to the wheels because you're using awd again.

Austin Berry He's right though, your back is too far from the wheel for any kind of performance driving. I'm 6'3" as well, and when I'm driving my ST like an idiot I always make sure I'm close enough to the wheel to control the car. You are not. Your arms should be bent.

I wanted an RS badly (it's a sexy fucking car and the best stock hot hatch in the States) but I wasn't willing to pay 5 - 7.5 k dealer mark up (NJ area was killing people mark up wise) making it a 43,000 + car. I ended up buying a base STI for 36 K, really can't complain about saving over 7 G's for very minuscule performance difference stock for stock. I'm happy with my purchase but still wish I could have an RS, oh well.

Its negative, I'm a die hard jdm guy coming from owning an evo and a big turbo mint rhd civic ek coupe type r who is looking to pick up his first American (possibly muscle) car and the rs is on my list as well as atsv, stingray and gt350 to check out. So as a guy that likes to tune/mod I saw the vid thumbnail with the big ic and was like cool but when I saw jdm etr plate I'm like oh boy. I've been in a RS w/ 330hp, and I do like the car, but I don't get the hype tbh. My 13 Wrx hatch pulls harder and still gives me more thrill, the gearing on the rs is too "laid back" for me, I could care less about a drift mode, if it's awd and you got power, you can swing it around. The RS has a good look to it tho! I just wish they felt as aggressive as they look, I've only seen 4-5 RS where I'm at, and from a pull or dig, I can show them what JDM awd feels like. RS dudes are a little cocky for Rollin with a still pretty stock car, even with bolt ons (power wise). The platform can't even get past 350 to the wheel without compromising all reliability
