This gen of accords are dope. My 03 EX-L 5 speed coupe is damn near as perfect as when it came out of the factory. It was always garaged and never driven in winter.

That was nice. The very similar coupe wheel without the woodgrain and extra buttons is nice too. It's got the same leather wrap and is cheap from the local junkyard, as long as you can get the T30 airbag bolts out.

Since he didn't do it, I'll add a disclaimer. NEVER EVER disconnect the airbag with the car running! Disconnect the neg battery terminal and wait at least 15 minutes BEFORE disconnecting the airbag to give the SRS time to discharge. Lucky that thing didn't blow up in your face.

It wasn't running when I did it, but yeah it would be a better idea to disconnect the battery. I did it with the car turned off but the battery still connected about 8 different times and never had an issue, but for safety sake it would be better to disconnect the negative

Big warning for anyone doing this on this gen Accord and has the plastic/rubber steering wheel, you HAVE to get an air bag that fits the new wheel you want to put in. There's some mounting if you try to reuse the air bag from the rubber wheel to a leather one. Makes the whole thing more expensive than it first seems.

Yes that's correct, I don's think I mentioned it in the video but I used an Accord V6 sedan airbag and it bolted right up the this steering wheel. 4 cylinder accords for some reason have a different mounting pattern than the V6.

Doe’s the radio & cruise control button work?

Yes they still work as normal, but if you get a wheel that says "HiDS" on the right side instead of cruise you'll have to swap over the stock cruise control button like I did. 2 screws on the back of the wheel and a plug that you can disconnect when the airbag is off

The Accords with navigation had some of the buttons, but they can't be added in because the wiring harnesses are different unless it already came with them

No, it wouldn't work because the DX doesn't have the wiring harness running to the steering wheel. You can still install it for the looks but those buttons wouldn't function.

Wow 27K miles, that's crazy! Didn't know 7th gen Accords like that still existed anymore. These were OEM 18x8 wheels from a 2008 Accord V6 Coupe. I never measured how much it was lowered but I believe it was around 2 or 3" from stock.

WOW THIS IS AMAZING. YOU MUST KEEP MAKING VIDEOS. DO A WHOLE UPDATE AND TOUR ON THIS CAR. I'VE ALSO GOT ONE OF THESE ACCORDS (2007 2.4L). It's got 220K Miles and running like new. I've got a Magnaflow Muffler, LED Conversion (Interior and Exterior), and Tein S-tech Lowering Springs. I've Got a video posted on replacing the rear brake pads. Thanks for the support bro, I appreciate it. Mine's a 2003 2.4L with 270K miles and just last months I drove 900 miles to college no problems at all. I have another video that I'm still editing and some other parts on the way, but being in college I have a lot less money lol. I do have a TSX intake manifold and JDM Honda Legend KB1 mirrors all the way back at my house, but I'm pretty sure I won't be driving my car back there until around Christmas. But don't worry, there will be a lot more content with this car coming soon.

@@j.e.t.lifetothenextlife200 I don't have the car anymore but I rode on those coilovers (Function & Form Type II) for about 3 years and it always rode perfectly. I'm not sure exactly how low it was but I'd say dropped probably 2-3", and believe it or not I've had passengers compliment how nice the car rode. The wheels were the stock wheels from a 2008 Accord V6 Coupe and they were 18x8", pretty sure original wheels are something like 16x7"

I screwed in the bolt finger tight so the steering wheel won't hit me in the face, then I just pounded it with my hands around the whole thing and pulled in and out really hard and it came off

Yes they do make them but they're pretty hard to find. Most likely a Japanese auction site such as Yahoo Auctions, Buyee, Jauce, etc. would have it. I've purchased a few various parts from Jauce.com before but you have to type in "UC1 Handle" to get steering wheels. (Probably due to the language translation or something.)

Yes it'll fit because the steering rack spline things are the same. 04-08 TSX and Accord Euro steering wheels are also 3 spoke like the Accord coupe is.

@@caalcb7 No the phone buttons won't work because the wheel never came with US Accords, it's from a JDM car and the wiring doesn't connect to anything. I just put if for looks. The controls will be on the head unit screen when you're in a phone call

Inspire UC1 Door Sills (aka Kick Plates, Scuff Plates.) They are pretty hard to come across but I got mine on ebay a while back. Some Instagram sellers are @jdmpartsbynighkid @nogararacing @osojdmparts @titojdm22 they're good with Inspire parts too.

Ebay you can look up "inspire uc1" and then either steering wheel or doorsills or whatever. The wheel came with no airbag but 03-07 Accord V6 sedan airbags fit
