I think it’s the organization that gets me. I find it so fascinating that car culture in japan is so organized and thought out and everyone really respects the “rules”. Something Anerican car culture lacks..

In many ways over here in the U.K I can say the same. As you rightly said, it's a respect thing for other fellow road users. In Japan, they show lots of respect of other road users, whereas here it seems like everyone just treats each other as douchebags.
@aegis0624 жыл бұрын
it's because discipline is ingrained into Japanese culture while American culture being an individual and being different is ingrained into our culture and in Japan standing out is frowned upon. for example when Brazil world cup was happening the Brazilians just go up and left after the game was done, but the Japanese got up and started to clean their area and pick up all the garbage on the floor. it's ingrained into the culture.

Guess what? Nothing special! Speed limit 50kmh (yes, on shutoko / wangan as well which is "highway"), super slow traffic in general, overly expensive to go from A to B (yes, you can loop it all you want though so it's cool for just joyriding), road quality modest at best (hitting bumps every 3meters because it's a elevated highway, plus usual holes, your suspension is crying). *Daily driving drift car 70km through Tokyo*

@@FarisMiz Because you can get in trouble with the law which is why ALL proper YT car channels that do "questionably/not street legal" fast pulls on public roads/highways with a 1st person POV or even recording cars doing said "illegal" stuff on the road will censor the speedometer and number plate respectively because it can be used against you as visual proof of breaking the law and can punish you accordingly.
