Hey guys, thanks to my patrons, I was able to purchase a new Go Pro Hero 7 to improve the quality of the in-car footage.
I shot a new video, but upon reviewing this footage I thought that it was too awesome to not share in its entirety.
That then gave me the idea to start a new series called Japan Drive Project, where I'll go and film some of Japan's most famous roads with an iconic JDM car in front.
My hope is that watching this video will be both exciting and relaxing, therapeutic and mesmerizing.
Let me know if you enjoyed watching this type of video all the way til the end. If the response is good, I will experiment with uploading more of these, however if the watch time percentage is lower than my other videos on average, I might make these runs Patreon-only content.

Music is still solid, like most racing games, I have the music on in the background for motivation, but the engine sounds keep me focused on driving.

Well remember that this is 2x faster so the audio would be wired and also it takes a lot of effort to pull something like this off. It’s not just one take of them driving.

Agreed, I would like to hear ambient sounds, but the music worked really well too. Must be some way to combine them. Like maybe interject road sounds at key points. Love the concept!

I knew 10 seconds into the video someone was going to say this. You have no idea how hard it is to capture clean audio while doing something like this. Sure, the audio you're imagining in your head would be awesome, but capturing that audio is a completely other story. For a drive this long, it's almost impossible to do right.

Love that this is going to be a new project. Can't wait to see Yokohane and Wangan w/ Rainbow bridge. Osaka Kanjou would be pretty epic too. I think maybe doing a music edit version + a raw audio version would be more ideal than an original speed and 2x timewarp. I guess we'll have to see if the 2x gets a lot more views or not.

This brings back memories when I went to Yokohama where that huge cruise ship is with my friend. Travelling back on the Wangan and crossing the Rainbow Bridge to come across a small crew with IS200's and RCF's driving past that we would join with. Really brought out a side of Japan that I adored.

more videos like this please !!! it's pretty much *exactly* what i envisioned myself doing the next time i visited Japan ... ... just mount a camera & record the drive. *_side note:_*_ i might be in the minority, but i like the video w/ music; as opposed to everyone else, that have requested just engine sounds. knowing the technical difficulties of recording the audio (i do photo & video work), maybe this version would suffice for now? possibly make one music version, & one engine noise version in the future? just a thought. keep up the awesome work._

Thank you. When I graduated I was on my own and only could afford a studio apartment. I would stay up late playing Tokyo Extreme Racer aka wagan midnight aka shutoku highway battle aka import tuner challenge and dream of these runs. So beautiful. I still know the highway from the game. There was a video on the scene there from back then and a preview for fast and furious on Tokyo Extreme Racer Zero for PlayStation 2! I run a dc5 and have driven all over the USA but dream of Japan and a Mugen dc5. Again thank you so much and I like how you did the music. In fact if you can make sure it's music relevant to Japanese culture. Just mix some car sounds in.

Honestly best thing is to buy a ps2 and order the game online. I did that. Luckily a local book store had a ps2 and the game for cheap. I also managed to find a complete fresh, new version of midnight club 3 dub. It’s amazing what you can find in small book shops
