Well you didn’t mention that bushing that was over the ball portion of the shifter. Did you throw it down the driveway? Put it on the Megan shifter ball?

Why not show the throw and lack of slop after install?

Because the amount of slop taken out and throw of the shifter will depend on how much other stuff you replace (shifter bushings, bitch pin and so on) and the throw will depend on what shifter you choose and what type of transmission its on.

It’ll take care of some of the slop but not all of it completely. I know some shops recommended changing just the bushing in order to get rid of the slop.

Grayson Burrell I definitely like it. Good throw and a strong feel. What I didn't show in the video is that I also replaced the shift linkage bushings with new energy suspension bushings and a brand new bitch pin. With all these upgrades it feels amazing! All the slop is gone. The only down side to this shifter I would say is that is sits lower. So the shift knob is further away from the steering wheel. So if you do any autocross or track day events this is obviously a disadvantage.

The megan racing shifter i used in this video is definitely a good, affordable and strong option to replace it. I definitely dont foresee ever snapping it.

It's more of a demonstration on how to install the shifter not a review of that specific short throw shifter itself. The amount of slop removed and the throw of the shifter will all be determined by the condition of the rest of the shift linkage setup. I ended up putting in a new bitch pin and replacing all the bushings with new prothane bushings and I have virtually no slop and it feels great.
