Skylines with a factory 4 cylinder engines: if you can ignore all Prince Skylines ALSI, BLSI, S21, BLRA-3, S50, S54, S57 from 1957 - 1963 and then also the 1968 Nissan Skyline C10 with the G-15 or G-18 L4 engine. The 1972 C110 with G-16, G-18, L20B L4 engine options. 1977 C210, L16T, Z16S, L18T, Z18S, Z20E. Then the R30 had 6 different L4 options including a diesel and the FJ that you're aware of. R31 came with a 4 cylinder engine. If you want to say they're not real skylines, the R32 came with a CA18i option in the GXi spec

Those 3 Gunmetal grey Skyline GTR R32, R33 and R34 are the Clubman Race Spec GTRs. They got pretty much all Nismo goodies borrowed from the Z Tune body parts in the case of the R34. Upgraded fuel rails and injectors system from the R35 GTR. Each Clubman race spec conversion is estimated to cost around 200K USD but yes they basically strip the car down to bare chassis and slowly build it back up with all Nismo/Nissan OEM parts and the process takes 1 year or more to be completed. But thats not including the long wait to get approval for work to get started on your own car. The GTR has to be Japan Street Legal with the paperwork from the car inspection. So your car cant be an auction car or de-registered. Lots of condition.

You know what's funny? During my trip to Japan we decided to stay in a hotel at the Omori area, I couldn't be much happier knowing that the area is close to this factory, or so I thought. Once I realized that this was actually located in Yokohama, my plans to visit this factory came to a halt, whilst I have so many questions in my brain at that time. Well, at least I got to visit Honda's Collection Hall at Motegi, a must visit for you die-hard VTEC fans :D

Great video, as usual!! Some of pieces of information that you may find interesting about the Silhouette cars: - They are Group 5 spec, so they are even earlier than Gr.B and Gr.C - Their engines were race works development from the 4 cylinder L-series block (same engine family than the original Fairlady Z and the late 510s among others), and it was used also as N/A in rallying and one seater racing. - All three cars had body reworks along the years, maybe the most notable is Yanagida’s Bluebird, which was originally a Nissan Gazelle. Keep this great videos coming!

And watching the workshop and "window shop" through the small shop will somehow take you one hour ;-)

Could someone provide a bit more explanation on why the RB26 isn't suitable for drifting due to the transfer case being located in the oil pan? Thanks!
@NamelessGlasses4 жыл бұрын
Well.... quite simply because of what would soon become a vestige of it once being AWD should you choose to make a drift car. Most, if not all, drift cars are RWD. AWD is disadvantagous as the front wheels would constantly be trying to pull you out of a drift. The front transfer case, as well as most of the front steering rack/assembly if you were being serious, would need to go and having it intergrated into the oil pan assembly is a hassle.
@Ren_11064 жыл бұрын
I think you didn't mentioned the: NISMO F-Sport RB26DETT 2,8L. Using Z2 concept Engine parts from (Z-Tune) GT500. The engine itself can tune up to by 500 or 550HP (same as Z-Tune). Plus it's very very expensive to buy one. It's a super rare engine to find one now. I think Nismo didn't showed that up. 🤔

Hi, there is an in House tuning For Subarus ? I know that STI exists, but its only for handling and some cosmetic parts, but nothing for the engine.
@NamelessGlasses4 жыл бұрын
If you've seen how REAL STIs are built, then they are most definitely much more comprehensive than just handling and cosmetic bits. The changes are deep enough that the car is branded as an STI officially and not a Subaru. The only real STI we've gotten in the states was the recent s209 which had to go through some legal hoops to be sold in the US. But to answer your question, you don't really take your run of the mill Subie into STI to be tuned. They are essentially another company within/under Subaru that make the higher performance variants and race cars more akin to Quattro Gmbh (now Audi Sport) for Audis. But Subie enthusiasts have been in the OEM+ game for ages and will swap parts themselves.
@CLK.114 жыл бұрын
@@NamelessGlasses Thanks for that bro :) i understand. But for example, iam from Europe and i currently have an GDB 07 model. The car is second hand and the previous owner (german) shipped the car too japan to be fitted with STI performance parts and the car is like a little demo of a S204. They 'v fitted Bilstein shocks i think, and some other suspension components. Also some engine and chassis reenforcements +bars. Plus a front lip. But the only thing they did to the engine performance was fiddle with the turbo that put the output of the engine from 230 to 250ish WHP but nothing else. I've commented this video because i rly love to tune the engine of my car just like those skylines, but for subies. I live near a tuning house that offer, among others, HKS, Mine's, Greddy and TOMEI parts for the STI, but i'd like to mantain the OEM nature of the car, but it seems its a bit impossible xD
