Why doesn't MeTv or another station air the Hardy Boys or Nancy Drew shows for younger generations? It was good. It might get kids to read the books.

Jennifer Adams: Yeah, TV Land USED to be a great channel, and they used to have a LOT of good shows, but in order to cater to the "young generation", they got rid of all their great shows and replaced them with '90s and 2000s crap.

You can buy the DVDs of The Hardy Boys. Shaun was my first teen idol, but I loved Parker, too. I still listen to Shaun’s albums through Spotify and a couple of CDs. I got to see him and David in Blood Brothers. I enjoy Shaun’s TV shows that he creates, and I’m so glad he finally has a big hit with New Amsterdam.

Shaun Cassidy is LIFE! Born in ‘67 The Hardy Boys started my life long love affair with dreamy Shaun. Then the self titled LP with the groovy poster included. I was an avid fan of American Gothic. I think it would be more populat today. Launching the careers of Sarah Paulson and Lucas Black. The show was amazing. Shaun is brilliant. Now with New Amsterdam his creativity just keeps shining brighter. This was a great video. Thank you!

T Missing Link Videos CVS cancelled the series before they could show all of them. The DVD has every episode but in the same order as broadcast. The Show is also available on iTunes and again in the wrong order. To get the correct order, go to Wikipedia and look up the list of episodes. Again they are in broadcast order but if you look in the upper right hand corner of each episode you’ll get the production number which gives you the proper order.

Shawn had a killer band when he played out. The late great Denny Greenspoon of 3 Dog Night on keyboards, Room 222 character actor David Jollife (also played a motorcycle gang member on The Partridge Family. ) Jay Gruska on piano..Carlos Vega on drums from the 79 Live album That's Rock n Roll Live. Any chance of ever doing a tribute video of David Cassidy?!?!. I wish more people would have seen him for the talented musician he really was. His solo career in the RCA label from 75 to 77 was, to me, at his best, brilliant southern California sound. Hanging with the likes of the band America, Flo & Eddie of The Turtles, his producer Beach Boys, Bruce Johnston and beach boys drummer Ricky Fataar. The list goes on and on. I can go on and on as well. I appreciate all you do my friend! Rowland

The Hardy Boys was on every Sunday night and my sister and I were glued to the television. Shaun Cassidy posters in our bedroom and the Do Run Run playing on our record player and I would be singing to that song over and over and over ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Hi Dave, great to see this feature on one of my favorite singers! As for “The Hardy Boys Mysteries” being popular enough to land on a Dynamite magazine cover, I think that had to do with their managers’ influence, too. “Da Doo Ron Ron” was a hit for The Crystals originally. As for the cover with Chewbacca, they called it a composite or some pre-Photoshop word back then. “Hey Deanie” was also an Eric Carmen song, and The Lovin Spoonful did “Do You Believe In Magic” first. My sister was also a big fan but she was disinterested when I gave her the "Under Wraps" album as she'd lost interest by then. Hey, I am really puzzled why you said Shaun’s two albums after “Born Late” were not hits instead of saying his next four albums after “Born Late” were not hits. Don’t you like his very different last album “Wasp” with Todd Rundgren and Utopia, and covers of David Bowie, Talking Heads, the Who etc songs? I always thought it’s amazing. Also what about his 1989 musical comeback with "Memory Girl"? In terms of acting, how about also his Golden Globe award--nominated 1979 TV movie “Like Normal People” with Linda Purl who was later on “Happy Days”? How About a “Whatever Happened To Linda Purl”? Or actresses Glynnis O’Connor or Lynn-Holly Johnson? Great work, have a super day! :-)

Shaun Cassidy was my very first concert. My mom took me which surprised the hell out of me. I didn’t think she would. I wore a new flowered pink dress and brown leather sandals with my first pair of pantyhose. I felt so special. Shaun was amazing on stage. I’m 53 years old and can still picture the day. It’s one of my favorite memories I have of my mother. She passed away 3 years ago from Alzheimer’s.

Another great video Dave! I was 8 years old when his first album came out in 1976. Da Doo Ron Ron played over and over again in our house thanks to my sister who had a massive crush on Mr. Cassidy. And I was a huge fan of the Hardy Boys. Still keeping my fingers crossed that you might someday do a video about “Spike” - Fonzie’s short lived but memorable little cousin on Happy Days... 🤞Keep up the great work!

So fun story. I was about 7 or 8 and I entered a contest at a local record store called, Win a date with Shaun Cassidy, I had such a huge crush on him and so this would’ve been a dream come true for me. Well I didn’t win but did get a first place prize which was a signed picture of him, his album, a life size cut out and a beach towel. I still felt like such a winner.

I LOVED the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew and Like you loved the crossovers! And I was pleasant surprised to see you had an issue of Dynamite magazine! I loved that magazine as akid. Hey Dave here is an idea... have you thought about doing a video on some of the kid/ teen magazines that were big during the time period you cover? It would be cool to see some of the covers with some of the stars of the 70’s and 80’s and how they look now. Just and idea. Great video.. didn’t know Shaun has done some of the tv shows you cited. @@strangebrew5545 But, in David's case - how much of this was a result of a child dying from injuries at one of his concerts? With the Cassidy family history, they are predisposed for alcoholism, but knowing that a 14 year old girl died after watching your concert would be hard to cope with.
