Ticked off right now. I realized my previous WW1 pocket spill video was not being seen by all my subscribers and was suppressed by the algorithm. So I checked, and whaddaya know! KZbin placed it into restricted mode. I guess even referencing past world wars is now enough to have your video blocked if you use anything like "WW1" or "World War 1" in your tags. It's frustrating when you put an entire day into driving, detecting, filming and editing only to realize it's going to be greatly disadvantaged. If the video didn't show up in your feed or you didn't receive a notification from KZbin you can still watch the video using the link below: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y2GUl32lediHmas

JD's Variety Channel. I'm not sure about "even referencing the war" comment that you made, because there are channels on KZbin that are dedicated to WW2 only, so how would they not be blocked, or restricted in some way? Are you sure you haven't ticked someone off at utube? Hahahahaha. Great upload by the way.

Many people don't know when their videos end up in restricted mode. It doesn't remove your video or demonetize it. It just makes it invisible to people who have restricted mode turned on. This small difference in views can keep a video from doing much better in the rankings upon release. It's subtle unless you know what's going on.

My restricted mode is OFF.

Like your channel. Just found it while watching blueridgesilverhounds site. My mother just gave my 22 yr old son a load of mercury dimes, walking liberties and wheat backs that belonged to my grandparents. Some of these coins belonged to grams mother when they immigrated from norway and got to the states. I remember playing with these coins as a kid 40 some odd yrs ago. I knew they were worth money but had never really been interested in collecting them. My 22 yr old son flipped out when my mom gave him these old coins. I had no idea my son was interested in stuff like this. He was over the moon happy. I had no idea some were 90% silver. Jeremiah (son) started pulling up sites for me to show me what they were worth and I about fell out. Now I'm am interested in collecting too. Your site showed and you explained some of the things to look for in circulating bank coins so Big Thanks to you for sharing.

That is pretty cool. I remember my grandfather frequently giving us those Kennedy half dollars when we were small. They are long gone now.

Wow! That bike reflector looks neat. I'd love to travel to your state to detect.

Before the last U.S. quarters were minted using 90% silver in 1964, a Quarter could buy you a gallon of gas. Today those same coins' silver content alone makes it worth the price of a gallon of gas. Great Grandad taught us that this precious and semi-precious metal coinage, a country's legal tender, is the difference between a sustainable, stable economy and a pile of fancy paper. We the People aren't being taught about such things for a reason.

Hey JD, maybe you cld consider doing some small giveaways on holidays and such. Like today, Mothers Day. That would be super cool. Happy Mothers Day to your Mom.

Thanks for repackaging that! It was new to me! That 1939 Jefferson looked like it might have had a doubled Monticello. Might be worth trying to find it to check it out. You have probably covered it in a previous video that I haven't seen yet, but it would be cool to hear from you how you go about obtaining permission to hunt a property, and what your standard agreement is with the Home Owner to do it. Thanks!

Those were the days..i haven't found a silver half dollar since 2015....silver coins are getting harder and harder to find now-a-days....grounds not producing any more and hunters have taken most out of the ground.
@JDsVarietyChannel6 жыл бұрын
I can't remember the last time I found a silver half on public property. I found a Frankin half at a 1959 school about 5 years ago, and one almost a foot deep in a pounded, old athletic field. I think those are the only 2 from public ground. I get about 3 per year from door knocking. Got 2 this year already, so maybe I can break a personal record. lol

Why don't you use the etrac anymore?
@JDsVarietyChannel6 жыл бұрын
I'm getting a new one soon. The main reason I don't use my older ones is because of muscle related issues. I can't use heavy detectors anymore.
@nickhaas24076 жыл бұрын
You can hear that E-Trac threshold hum in the background. JD, is the T2 really that much better than your trusty E-TRAC rig with the SunRay X1 probe? Nice run on those walker dates! Great video JD, thanks for re-releasing.
@JDsVarietyChannel6 жыл бұрын
The T2 is better for the type of hunting I do these days. Which is coin and relic hunting iron infested house sites. I lose about 2-3" on small deep targets like a silver dime. But if I hit a site that's amazing with a lot of deep coins I can always go back with a different detector or a bigger coil and mop up the super deep targets I can't reach with the T2 stock coil. I've done extensive testing and I miss more targets with the E-Trac than the T2 (based on my specific hunting conditions). I believe this is mainly due to the E-Trac's processor being slow. Because of this, It does not do well around the 1800's iron infested house sites or in thick, heavily mineralized clay. The E-Trac's amazing discrimination is also its weakness. This is not ideal for relic hunting. The E-trac IMHO is by far still one of the best coin shooting detectors on the market. It's absolutely amazing for cherry picking old coins and silver out of high trash public areas. I dug probably 1 nail per month with it. And is incredible in soft, clean northern soil. For relic hunting clay packed, iron infested old homesites it's too slow, and also much heavier.

JD's Variety Channel. I've never used a T2 but it seems very similar to the AT Pro and I love mine. When it comes to having a waterproof detector that I can just throw in my truck and pull out whenever I want to its hard to beat.
@JDsVarietyChannel6 жыл бұрын
Yeah. They have similarities. The AT Pro has proven to be one of the best multipurpose "grab and go" detectors. Main thing I like about the T2 in comparison is it's balanced much better. The AT Pro is bottom heavy, which is hard for me with neck and shoulder problems. For most people it seems not to be an issue.
