Hard Target is a classic action movie, it doesn’t take itself too seriously. It’s focus is on entertainment and spectacle. The action is incredibly well directed by John Woo, Van Damme may not be the best in terms of acting but his screen presence and physicality really shine in this movie. The villains are both very evil and charismatic and the story does it’s job. Btw: The reason why the main villain doesn’t throw the grenade is simple, “ego” he thinks he’s king sh#% and can show off that he can defuse it before simply throwing it away. He even has a single shot pistol which implies that he’s an expert and doesn’t need more than one.

Legend JCVD working with John Woo. This is the best movie i've ever watched in my life because i loved the script and the story,it was so crazy,so dark and so original at the same time and the camera work not to mention how badass Van Damme can be here.

Dude relax. It's an action film. Not everything is gonna be realistic. It's ENTERTAINMENT. JCVD is one of the greats. He deserves a little more respect! The way you react is why you have so little views. 🤷🏿‍♂️
