Love your work man, really inspiring and helpful! a video where you go more into drybrushing would be amazing, like how you load etc because your end look is phenomenal!

@@alejandrollauro thank you so much for the kind words 🙏 great idea I'll try and do a more detailed vid on dry brushing in the future as it's a technique that's simple to learn but results can vary a lot depending how you do it 🙂

STRONG VIDEO DUDE!!!! skin tones, gonna copy :) 1/8 scale, wow, next level, I prefer 1/4, but space permitting 1/6.... If you do not mind sir, be a BIT more heavier on the pastel shading (love this technique), POP it, because this model is HOT!!! Especially when colours meet each other (I generally use nub nub 'Nuln ' oil after the pastel shading when needed) . Portrait on this model is amazing, shading around the eyes, tip top! I have been trying this, agree, less is more when beginning!! On my last project used a tiny bit of redish pink to colour the cheeks..

Thanks so much - I used to paint warhammer miniatures so 1:8 scale still seems massive to me 😄yeah pastel shading is a really good technique for great results. I prefer more subtle realistic shading so try not to go too heavy. Good tip on red for the cheeks I did that on the Rogue model and it worked really well. Didn't do it on Jean as the costume covers that part of the face.

@@daydreamerdesigns3D yikes Warhammer, ,my old man eyes...... Been testing dipping my toes into Gundam, as the folks here are raving about these (TBH, lore sounds great, models look awesome, but 1/100'ísh scale!!) really hope this works.... pastel shading in the panel linings, depth plus weathering.... fingers crossed, but I am being tested.......:)

Do you use anything to protect the paint? Everything I’ve painted seems to rub off or scuff if anything touches it when I start to assemble.

No I generally don't use any varnishs unless I want to change the finish so I sprayed the pink energy with a satin varnish but left everything else. I don't tend to get any issues with paint loss. It could be the paint isn't sticking very well to the primer you're using. 🤔

It's difficult to do with a camera in the way but I've shown it a bunch of times in my other vids.
