My all-time favorite from a John Waters movie: Taffy Davenport (Mink Stole in Female Trouble) says, "I wouldn't suck your lousy di#k if I was suffocating and there was oxygen in your ball$!"

"Look! He's attacking!" is roughly the seventh funniest thing Mink Stole says in the first fifteen minutes of this movie, and it has me in tears.

Mink Stole (Mrs Gravel) and Jean Hill (Griselda), just brilliant characters...part of the Dreamlander team. RIP Jean, and Edith Massey too. John Waters tolerance and acceptance of others who do not fit the norm is a credit to American culture (these movies could never have been made anywhere else), although I fear it may just have been a 70s/80s thing these days with the book burning in libraries going on by the religious right etc.
@MugenThreadsVintage Жыл бұрын
The religious right?! I think books are being banned on both ends of the political spectrum!
@NinoNiemanThe1st Жыл бұрын
@@MugenThreadsVintage Yes, I agree with you! On the right it's 'book burning' and on the left it's 'cancel culture'. Both extremes destroy their causes to anyone not so extreme ie. most people who just switch off and consider them both ridiculous.
