Jean-Léon Gérôme was a great painter & sculptor whose Art I have always found to be skillfully precise. I do understand that he had to applaud the invention of camera Photography in the 19th Century only to catch the curve balls thrown at him by the Impressionist Movement & its various subcategories. However Jean-Léon Gérôme was still able to show his precise skills & despite the criticism he received while he was alive & after his death, there are still marvelous attributes to his techniques that are impressive. This was a very comprehensive documentary, thank you for sharing it.

The generated audio translations makes me laugh! However, I have to say, whoever is uploading these videos, appears to have put a fair bit of effort into their research. Also, the paintings presented aren't always the usual suspects. I am really relieved that this video, hasn't got any incredibly annoying, repetitive music in it!
