Jean-Luc Ponty 1988, Prologue and Once a Blue Planet

A note about your concern of the sound quality of this video. When this concert was aired in '88 a friend of mine recorded it in a standard mono VHS recorder. Although I made a copy using my dad's hifi VHS recorder that year nothing was at hand to improve the sound quality. Before uploading to KZbin I took the time to remove the hiss and to improve the equalization a bit. I would have chosen to keep this tape stored but decided to share this rare treasure with those the music belongs to: the audience. I was there and it was thrilling to see the masters play live for the very first time. Let the music talk.

Jamie Glaser es uno de los mejores guitarristas que he escuchado y es ademas un gran ser humano. Es uno de mis contactos de Facebook y se da personalmente el tiempo de responder cada comentario a sus 3779 amigos (algo que incluso algunos de mis amigos "cercanos" no hacen :D ). Es un amante de los animales tambien. Jamie Glaser is one of the best guitar players I have heard and is a great human being too. He is my contact on Facebook and takes the time to reply personaly every comment from his 3779 friends (something that even some of my "close" friends don't do :D ). He is also an animal lover.

@@emmerikito No dudo que puedan ser amigos, pero por lo que leí, Jamie salió del Berklee College Of Music (Boston, Massachusetts) en 1977 y Jorge Vidal salió del Musicians Institute (Los Angeles, California) en 1992.

Por los años 80 conocí al Maestro Jean Luc Ponty, gracias a mi compañero Leopoldo González en Concepción.. Desde ese tiempo ha sido mi músico favorito, no pude asistir a este recital, uno de los mejores Qué ha hecho en Chile..Once a blue Planet, Uno de mis temas favoritos interpretado mejor o igual que en el estudio..!!

I know in the late 80s he was using a Publison to do the effects with the pizzicato. JLP is a master of the use of delay. This was his first attempt at a MIDI'd violin with the Zeta
