Jamie, I met you in Boulder, Colorado...your career would have been great no matter how you got there. But, it seems consistent with how you were when I met you for you to be gracious. Had a blast watching you and Jean-Luc smiling and laughing while playing those complex runs together. It was magical. You're awesome, Jamie! Thanks for the great show (that was years ago, by the way :)

Fell in love with a gal in 1984 while barely hearing this song on some local Seattle video of sped-up views of my city. TWO years later, discovered it was JLP! Been a fan of his ever since. This is the first vid I've ever seen of him performing this incredibly beautiful song as a fusion piece. :)

This is so much better than the original cut on the album! Usually that is not the case. I hope to see him live one day!

I first heard this captivating piece as the theme music for a local cable interview show I worked on at Telecable of Springfield, MO back in 1986. No one that was on the crew at the time knew where it came from so I assumed it was from our production music library. About 10 years later I was listening to CD 101.9 from New York and heard Jean Luc Ponty's name first associated with the piece. I eventually was able to get the CD with this on it. It's one of my favorite works.

My favorite JLP song! Saw him play at an early 1980's Berkeley Jazz Festival and this has been one of my all time favorite Jazz songs since.

I heard this song live with the JLP band in 1983. It was at San Francisco State University at the Student Union when the uni had budget for great shows back then. The band was JLP, Juaquin Lievano, Alan Zevod, Rayford Griffin and Baron Brown. That same week, I saw the same band open for the Yellow Jackets at Concord Pavilion. I didn't stick around for Yellowjackets...

Oh god, this bongo or whatever is the name of that percussionista instrument has a serious issue of tuning with this particular song. It causes an awful dissonance in the begining. Too bad, such a great team, a great song
