Make sure they have tickets still available online , Not sure if they are going to extend the show but with the popularity it might happen.

Picasso said in his later years ' its taken all my life to paint like a child ' Basquiat was soo gifted a natural . Some say he was obsessed with being famous , perhaps his destiny was known to him and he was right !!!! I love his vibrant colours his overlays and graffiti, Now the world can appreciate his talent ❤

Really because if you tell any art “snob/expert” that his art is child like they will say “you just don’t get it” and then proceed to put you down for not being knowledgeable without any explanation why. At least Picasso was living in reality unlike all the self proclaimed “art experts” out there there.

Sorry to say, but this works is really horrible technically speaking. He was able to leapfrog on the back of Andy Warhol. Try and paint a Rembrandt.

I completely understand, I do believe his work can be an acquired taste and in the beginning when i was exposed to his works, I to felt the same. I surely appreciated more over time. Thank you for the comment :-)

@@1StopWatch202 Thanks. No, I like his work but it is a contrived extension of Cy Twombly's work, from an African American perspective. Granted, he invented a visual language, and this is why his work "speaks" to so many as his topics are relevant and his pain and suffering are apparently real.. But for me, the Modern Art trajectory is one of decline. Painters have run dry of original ideas and are lacking in the mastery of such artists as Vemeer, Rembrandt, di Vnci. etc.
