Lyrics taken from the Kalevala, finally I am reading, is so great! =D

I translate the part as: "it was the death of the young man, the death of the male Kullervo, the death encountered him, the end met the one with a hard fate."

I'm sorry but Ukko definitely does not denote the name of a sky-goddess. Ukko means old man. Anyway, a very sad story and definitely somewhat characteristic of the Finnish archetype.

Actually, since you don't seem to be Finnish, I can tell you that the true definition of Ukko is just "Man". Also, Ukko ylijumala was also called Ukkonen, which means Lightning, but can also mean "little man". I have always wondered why my finnish ancestors would call him a little man, perhaps because they were so afraid of Ukko after a lightning strike that they had to mock him by saying "little man" :D
