I live in Mariposa California just shy of Yosemite and I saw a Great Grey fly over the open moon roof in my car as I was driving. I followed her a bit as she took perch on a redwood branch not 30 feet from me. She stayed for over 10 mins even though she knew I was watching her. It was the most privileged encounter i've had in nature.

The way owls move their heads, it looks so mechanical, rather than natural, it baffles me... in good way.

1:35 "Land of the midnight sun, there's a lot of daylight." Sure, during the summer, but how about during the winter? Do they hibernate or migrate?
@StrakartS8 жыл бұрын
+Nebu Losa Neither, but they definitely hunt in the dark :)

It has a damaged wing ? You want it released to just die as it cannot hunt ? And to be honest, it cannot be that bad in captivity if it lives for 40 years in some cases! The host thought it lived only 10-15 years. I'd say it's a very lucky bird!

Iv seen a big ass owl here in southern Michigan on my way home from work. it had to be 2 1/2 feet tall atleast. it was huge. I promise there's a huge owl around 94 close by Gibraltar trade center wish I could of took a picture of it standing on top of a stomp but I was going down the highway. it's eyes where huge as fuck it's legs where bald kinda like chicken legs or something. it was ridiculous. I swear it looked me right in the eyes. obviously i was in the passenger side as I was riding with a co worker. Iv seen owls before on the side of highways an eways but it was different.

He's ok. Better than a talk show host like Conan who constantly jokes about the animals.
