It makes me sad for IN but angry for the kingdom production team that they specifically focused the camera at him while he was really vulnerable instead of ensuring that he was doing ok. Originally, after Felix shows his abs in 'God's Ddu-ddu-ddu' and crouches down, and you can see I.N. standing behind him, I.N. was supposed to show his abs too. Then the stylist gave him overalls, which complicated matters, and I.N. got cold feet. But there's nice amounts of I.N. abs in the behind-the-scenes footage shown during Kingdom Week. Of course I mention this for educational purposes only...

Others already let you know that this is the "F*ck You, MAMA/Mnet" version of Victory Song, it preceded Kingdom by several months, it was an announcement of SKZ's participation in the upcoming Kingdom competition, that they had very little time to put this whole stage and remix together because they weren't included until the last minute, and that they weren't even nominated for anything but were still used by Mnet and MAMA to get viewers. In return for that very blatant snub, they used an old, unpromoted b-side rather than God's Menu or Back Door, their monster hits of the year and the songs that Mnet undoubtedly was counting on them to choose from. It's kpop, and it's specifically SKZ, and it's especially specifically Chan, so no, they never actually _said_ "This was us flipping the bird at Mnet/MAMA -- because they _can't_ do that in this industry, especially not as the relatively young/new group they were at the time (less than three years old, only having had their first real hits in the last four months). Nonetheless, if you're familiar enough with SKZ and with how very savvy and very deliberate Chan is, having been in this industry since childhood, you know that that's exactly what it was: A giant-a$$ middle finger to the show and company who treated them like sh1t, with zero respect, and intended to use their name for views. Other groups came, stayed for awards, did multiple stages, did interviews, etc etc etc. SKZ showed up, did their contractually mandated Kingdom-announcement stage, and then peaced right back out. They gave Mnet/MAMA no other content that those a$$holes could capitalize on. And that is 100% NOT how SKZ behaves at awards shows and is glaring proof that this was entirely deliberate. SKZ snubbed them in return; they just did it with class and a bombastic declaration of their intent to win.

I love their "I'll Be Your Man" performance. All the other groups were amazed by Han's vocals because he is mainly known as a rapper. BTOB even said that song is one of the hardest to sing in their discography and they are known for their outstanding vocals. I think SKZ chose that one mostly to show that they have great vocals as well since they are known as a rap-heavy group.

This can't get any better! *THIGH* ⭐ That statue of the boy is wearing Hyunjin's SKZ ring, they wanted him represented even if he couldn't be there. Innie was soooo upset over that voice break, he was crying backstage. ⭐ BTW, there was no audience. Kingdom was filmed during the peak of Covid. The groups weren't really allowed to mingle either, except during the Mayfly practices/performances ⭐ Changbin broke the stage during that sword stab in Victory Song. This was for MAMA.

I love that the God's DuDuDu made Ryan Reynolds AKA Deadpool himself contact Bang Chan. They ended up fanboying over each other and sending authographs and merch to each other. The Victory Song performance was not in Kingdom but in MAMA 2020, that's why Hyunjin is present. On Kingdom, he was only there for the first episode. This show is really good, the performances and sets are incredible and every single group did great plus this is really funny to see all of them fanboying, supporting and teasing each other. There is even an episode where they're not performing but just playing sport games.

Victory Song was part of a set of promotional performances before Kingdom, at Mama 2020. I would really recomme d the other ones, by Ateez and The Boyz, as well as the collab stage "Triangular Fight". It is way too short, but Hyunjin, San and Juyeon dancing together is...an experience.

Six degrees of separation--Stray Kids performed BtoB's I'll Be Your Man. The original music and arrangement were created by BtoB member Hyunsik, Nathan, and ATEEZ's main producer Eden. Mayfly is always a winning combination! I hope you react to those performances too. They had such great chemistry.

You appreciated the continuity in God's D4, like with Felix stealing the miniaturized tank and then SKZ enlarging it and bringing it up in the final moments. The continuity...um, continues beyond this. The MAMA 2021 show (which occurred many months _after_ this, as opposed to the 2020 F*ck You, MAMA stage, which was several months prior) picks up where this leaves off. Lix steals the tank again, gets miniaturized, and takes it on a mad dash through the streets of Seoul to eventually meet up with SKZ at the MAMA venue, where they enlarge the tank (and Lix) and pick up the story. They kick off with "Cheese" (a straight-up diss track), move into 3RACHA's original "Hey, Monster" rap (which references the Thunderous trailer from earlier in the year, post-Kingdom but pre-NOEASY), and then climax with "Thunderous (Hero ver.)," which has multiple references to various bits of SKZ lore and previous stages, right down to someone once again thinking it was a good idea to give Hyunjin bladed weaponry. SKZ are masters of the continuity long game. The inverted skyline of City Jungle, which first appeared at the end of Hellevator (their first song, 2017 predebut, before they even knew whether they'd get to debut together), was referenced as recently as the opening scene of MANIAC just a few months ago, for example, and City Jungle has appeared in multiple videos in between. They've been in with the continuity and inside references since literally day one, and it's immensely entertaining to pick out all the easter eggs and detail references with the rest of the fandom whenever a new vid comes out.

The 'Victory Song' performance was part of a trio of performances announcing 'Kingdom', all related to a Greek god. The Boyz were in white and gold, representing Zeus. Ateez were mainly in black, representing Hades. Stray Kids were in red and black, representing Ares.

Victory song is a Stray Kids song they have a performance m/v for for it but on the 2020 mama awards that is were Mnet were announcing some of the Kingdom Legendary War line up. Victory Song lyrics were remixed to match the Kingdom Concept. I would really recommend to react to the Original Victory Song m/v. The 2020 MAMA awards had 3 pre kingdom performances to get you hyped up for the upcoming series Ateez and The Boyz who were also announced to be a part of Kingdom Legendary War line up. 2020 MAMA awards also had one member from each group Hyunjin- SKZ / San - Ateez / Juyeon The Boyz had a pre kingdom dance battle performance together and it was amazing. I'll Be Your Man was a BtoB cover performance. In one round the groups had to pick a group where the swap songs to do a performance. Stray Kids choose the group BtoB (senior group) so they choose to one of BtoBs most popular and loved song I Will Be You Man. And BtoB had to do a performance with one of Stray Kids songs so they did Back Door. Amazing performance too. 2nd Edit adding. The concept was the loss of a loved one. Praying with the angels to save a loved one, then fighting angels (heaven) because it wasn't working . So making a deal with the demons (earth) in the end sacrificing themself's to bring back the loved one. The statue boy in the end came alive after all the members died. When Changbin was rapping and the boy appeared he also disappeared was one of the coolest things. For Gods Du Du Du Du. Ryan Reynolds tweeted stray kids after this performance but it didnt stop there. Ryan actually exchanged autographs and gifts with stray kids and Bang Chan did a video conference with Ryan and is on you Tube for you to view. Ryan also sent Bang Chan premiere opening tickets to his movie Fall Guy which was released not long after kingdom. Ryan has become a fan of Stray Kids. Hugh Jackman also got in on the tweets and reached out to Felix. 2 Aussies bonding over this performance was amazing. Gods Duh Du Du Du video is the most watched kingdom performances video of all of Kingdom performances including the first one Road To Kingdom. The best thing is to see all the other idol groups reaction to Felix showing his abs. LOL Edit: I forgot to add that Hyunjin only got to preform on MAMA awards for KLW and the first intro performance on Kingdom Legendary War due to his forced hiatus of malicious rumors of him bullying people in school. These rumors were proved to be false and Hyunjins first performance back from hiatus he released his dance cover to Playing with Fire by Sam Tinnesz

@@Bombdiggityyo yeah, and the "expert judges" complained that as Skz is a rap-heavy group, they should've turned it into a straight-up rap. Which shows the judges only know their title tracks, because otherwise they'd be aware there's plenty of vocal-heavy tracks too. They changed up the song plenty, and it already had a good mix of singing and rap, like most Skz songs. Plus, as the theme of the week was "reborn", Skz were the only group to make that the theme of the storyline by having the small boy be "reborn" by them sacrificing themselves.

I love your reactions together! Kingdom: Legendary War is such a good show (even though the company that produced it, MNET, is super shady). It's literally just 6 boy groups fanboying over each other. I'd definitely recommend watching the whole show for just a good time and watching how each group came up with their ideas. I'm sorry now for the comment I'm about to leave. For context on these performances and what each challenge was: Victory Song is a Stray Kids song from 2019 (it's a Bside off their album Miroh). This live performance was at the end of 2020 (before Kingdom began) for the MAMAs (it's a music award show in Korea). This was a very contentious issue with the fandom because they weren't nominated for any awards that year (even though God's Menu had blown up earlier that same year). Then, at the last minute, they were asked to appear because they were announced as one of the six groups to be on the show Kingdom: Legendary War in 2021. They only had a few days to prep this song. Stays really love it because they chose a Bside from an older album that felt very much like an f'you to MNET and the MAMAs. Whether that was their intention, I'm not sure (I've not found any direct sources for Stray Kids to confirm). During Kingdom, there was an introduction round and then 4 full competition rounds. No one was eliminated, but they were ranked from 6th to 1st on a variety of parameters including expert evaluation from a panel of industry professionals, self-evaluation where the teams ranked each other, and then fan voting. For the intro round, Stray Kids did a re-interpretation of their song Miroh as wolves. Each team was only allowed 100 seconds to perform a song they had won an award for to kind of set the tone for the competition. This is the only round where Hyunjin was present before he was forced on hiatus for bullying rumours. They were proven false, but by the time it was settled, the show was already over. For round one, the theme was "To the World" - basically as a group, what do you want to say to the world. Stray Kids did a mashup of God's Menu, their breakout hit that put them on the international market, and Side Effects, one of their most polarizing songs. They chose these songs because they represented a cohesive story from being controlled (Side Effects) to being the one's in control (God's Menu). For round two, the theme was "Re-Born". This is where I'll Be Your Man comes from. They had to switch a song with another boy group in the competition. The original song "I'll Be Your Man" is from the group BtoB (pronounced B2B). They are an older group and were the most senior group on the show. BtoB is known for ballads and very emotional songs. Off-stage, BtoB are just absolute weirdos in the best sense. Because Stray Kids had to cover a BtoB song, BtoB had to cover a Stray Kids song. Of all the groups, these two had the most opposite sounds but I think had the best switchups in terms of taking a song that wasn't their style and making it their style. Stray Kids specifically chose BtoB and this song to prove they were versatile performers - and the guys are just big fans of BtoB in general. Peniel, one of the members of BtoB has known Bang Chan since he first moved to Korea. For round three, there were two parts. The first part had the boy groups collaborating in teams of three. They had to prepare a rap unit, dance unit, and vocal unit. Stray Kids, BtoB, and Ateez formed a group called "Mayfly". For the rap unit they did an original song called "Paint" (rough translation). For dance, they covered EXO's "Wolf". For vocal, they cover UI's "Love Poem". The vocal performance is widely regarded as the best performance of the entire competition. For the second part of round three, the theme was "No Limit". Basically, the teams could do whatever they wanted. Some teams brought in other famous artists, some did covers of other songs, some went all out on staging, etc. This is where Stray Kids did the mashup of God's Menu and BlackPink's DuDuDu. Not only did they go viral with this performance, and as you mentioned, Ryan Reynolds saw it and posted about it. To this day, Ryan Reynolds continues to support Stray Kids, regularly using their music on his social media. Rumour mill also thinks that Stray Kids will be on the soundtrack for Deadpool 3. But again, this is only rumour. For the final round (four), each team had to write a brand new song and perform it live. Stray Kids wrote the song "Wolfgang" which was a reference to their wolf personas from their intro round, as well as a nod to musical genius like that of Mozart. It is a word-play combination of what it means to be a member of a wolf pack (wolfgang) and being a composer/maestro of your own music/path (wolfgang amadeus mozart). The live performance on Kingdom gave us the BEST Bang Chan moment. When SKZ did their comeback later that year, they did the performance again, adding Hyunjin back into the group. KZbin has versions of each of these performance like you've watched (the Full Version) and they have the broadcast version where you can see the other groups reacting to the performances in real time. But honestly, I think the show is worth a watch if you want to see all the fun behind the scenes. Hope this was helpful and not a wild STAY clogging your comments. Keep on being your lovely selves! Even BtoB (Born to Beat) were impressed with how Straykids performed their song…. In Kingdom, one of the categories was that two groups had to reinvent each others songs….so out of the six groups present, Ateez chose ikon, Straykids chose BtoB and the last two groups SF9 and the Boys were automatically put together…….straykids chose to sing blob’s I’ll be your man, and BtoB chose skz’s Back Door. I know that this is a year later and haven’t seen any of your other videos yet, but if you haven’t already you should watch the three collaboration performances from Kingdom legendary war…..Of Straykids, BtoB and Ateez (Mayfly is the combined groups name)…….the songs are in 3 categories of Rap, Dance and vocal…….Rap - Colors, Dance - Wolf and Vocal - Love Poem Btw, the Gods Ddu du du nearly didn’t happen, as JYPE at first refused to allow the boys to do the song, but the boys stuck to their guns and convinced JYP to let them do it. There is a 3 way dance performed after the end of the victory song, with Hyunjin dancing along with SAN from Ateez and Juyeon from The Boys

One viewer mentioned this is MAMA award, SKZ did not get a nomination even though it was God's menu era. Apparently got invited late to perform, they nailed the assignment. I wonder if the line "Don't you know who we are" was directed at MAMA 😆 always enjoy the reactions and interactions between both.

Actually IN sadly has very few lines in this song. Like Bangchan he only gets 2, first lying on the floor and the second at the end. Most of the singing is done Seungmin and Han - he`s the rapper with the ridiculously huge hat in God`s Du Du Du, and also the guy who cuts his hand in this performance.

The stages of Kingdom were too big! The fans were dissatisfied because the stage was too big. They had to use every stage to get good grades. When looking at individual cameras, the members were busy running around the stage even if they did not show up. The stage set of "God's Du Du Du" was fun. It was a set where the tank was completed when I folded subway set was folded, Above all, I was proud of SKZ because other idols who watched their performances were surprised that SKZ was really good at singing live. ' I'll Be Your Man' was low at the time, but it was the best stage for me. Everyone was surprised by Han's singing skills as a rapper, and their expressions of immersion in the song were perfect.SKZ sells its soul to the devil to save the boy! I.N's small voice cracked, but I didn't even notice it until the show pointed it out. It was so lovely to see Bang Chan comforting I.N, who cried because of his mistake later on. ]The Kingdom program was delayed a lot because it was hard to find idol teams to appear on. I know that all the idols had a lot of worries because they knew that the journey of the contest would be too. No wonder fans were more worried that they might be hurt or sick than winning. SKZ's year-end performance Victory Song, which marks the beginning of Kingdom, was amazing. It's amazing even if you look at it again.

Even with the low score for 'I'll Be Your Man', it brought Skz a lot of love and new fans from among Korean audiences who hadn't paid them much attention before, so in the long run I consider it a success. Pretty much all the groups went on Kingdom to raise their profile rather than win, although I suspect Hyunjin's hiatus made Skz more hungry for a win to prove to antis that they would not let the situation crush their spirits, and maybe hoping a win and any added popularity would get JYP to handle the situation better and more quickly.

Dang, I understand having a bias, but... Not supporting the rest of SKZ because he's not in the performance? That's pretty awful, I gotta say. Hyunjin has said he wishes that solo stans would understand that it hurts an idol to know their own fans don't support their team. Specially during a competition that was so important to the future of the whole group, including Hyunjin's. Because I have come across Hyunjin solo stans who think he's above the other members, the only only one with talent, and that Lee Know doesn't deserve to have the title of Main and Dance Leader. But i had yet to meet one who refused to watch a big performance that meant a lot to the group, just because he wasn't in it. I mean, do you not watch things like 3RACHA stages either? At the end of the day, you missed out on the beautiful things that SKZ did just for him. Like in "Wolfgang".... Leaving his spot open in the dance routine AND Han refusing to perform Hyunjin's rap in the live stage. However because he was forced to lipsyc it instead. He made it obvious that he had NO intention of even making it look like he was singing, even covering his mouth with his hands when he got close to the camera. Orz take the performance you skipped in this video. Where the ENTIRE stage was set up to be about Hyunjin. The childs statue wore Hyunjin's necklace with his team ring on it. Every member wore theirs around their neck as well. The whole time, the stage was actually about the guys saying to the industry that they were LITERALLY willing to do anything to get him back. In the meantime though, they were going to keep his spot open, his place in the group known, and their willingness to fight for him publicly obvious and unapologetically apparent. It makes me incredibly sad to discover that whilst they were doing all of that, solo stans could even be bothered to support SKZ stages? The very ones in which the rest of his group not only MURDERED the performances and WON.... only managingto get through everything that MNET put them through because they were doing it for HIM. But also the very stages where they laid their love language out bare for everyone to see. Showcasing their incredible and incredibly touching acts of service for Hyunjin... So, please just be aware that Hyunjin is part of a group and he's not a soloist. As well as that he would hate to be the reason a "fan" doesn't support the rest of the members, specially when it's so important.

Seeing you both react to Stray Kids is honestly such a full circle moment for me because you guys are the reason why I became such a huge fan of them back in November. I started following Kickor a year ago after I watched the Heaven Official's Blessing donghua. Because of her, I began reading the novel and eventually watching and reading Mo Dao Zu Shi. Later, I watched the Untamed Cdrama and found Jeanet's reaction videos. I became a fan of the actor Wang Yibo of The Untamed soon after. I believe that listening to Wang Yibo's music led me to finding Stray Kids through TikTok. MXTX's work had a huge impact on my life but Stray Kids had a much bigger impact I.e. my bank account. You will catch me buying all their albums and going to all their concerts. Whatever you do, don't start collecting photo cards. It's cool to see you guys go through the same thing when you both had a part in me becoming a huge SKZ fan. I really enjoyed this reaction video!
