I can't thank you enough for this. I keep returning to it over and over again when I am at home and unable to play the Cathedral organ. There is something so sublime to this that I can't describe. Always in the last few measures I am reduced to tears. If she hadn't composed one note before or after this, it would stand as one of the greatest organ works and one of the most beautiful. There is indeed a feminine sensibility to this and so much heart and I find it enormously comforting. Jeanne Demessieux's soundworld is utterly fascinating to me. Dupre student, plenty of Messiaen going on, strict education, astounding virtuosity, early fame, tremendous success internationally. We will never probably know the truth of some of the more difficult experiences of her life aside from the illness that killed her. The fractured relationship with MD saddens me to this day. Thank you for playing her work so beautifully. It reaches me very deeply and it means so much to me to hear this. I share the same interpretation although I am naughty and go through the last few measures on a very subdued Celeste chorus. Don't tell anyone lol Again, I'm deeply grateful to you for sharing your gift with us. It makes a huge difference in our lives.

I adore playing this. One of a few pieces that reduces me to tears, especially the last line. Words cannot describe how amazingly beautiful it is.

Sad (for me) that my parish doesn't quite like this style, even though I am so moved by it and believe these pieces give glory to God. Beautiful job on this recording!
