I don't hate the 2020's but there was a level of hope and progress we could see back those days, for the average person, that's missing in my personal opinion. Like a tide that kept rising and rising until the end of the 80's, but reversed in the 90's until the present days. I remember being excited about "the next thing" but now all we get is rounded corners on a next generation of anything. I believe something groundbreaking to bring joy and motivation to people as soon as possible. 🙏🏻 Thanks for another lovely retrospective. May the perm win 😁

This certainly was a trip down memory lane and was the best decade of my life as a teenager. Although I live in Australia, the ads were similar here and encapsulated everything of the 80’s. I had the big hair and dangly earrings. I also got my first Walkman for my 14th birthday in 1982. It certainly was a decade of excess especially for fashion. The music back then was some of the best ever made in my opinion and is my go to on my playlist. I would do anything to relive the 80’s, life seemed so carefree and innocent back then. I learned to drive in a manual car as everyone was driving them in the 80’s. I hated doing hill starts too but was careful in not getting too much roll back. In fact, I still drive a manual, they’re so much fun.

Now this is one Fantastic video !!! Love the 80s . . . While I remember some of it , I was still pretty young, born in 80 lol my sis however was a teen then, and so through the years she would explain different things about that time period . . . If I may, I'm guessing you remember the 80s pretty well. . . Some ladies I know, had me watch pretty in pink, sixteen candles, breakfast club, and many other movies. Wow different times for sure, Pepsi was everywhere, big hair, denim jackets, faded jeans, aquanet, bands like Cinderella, warrant, steel heart, and many others were huge !!! Love those bands btw !!! Everyone wanted to ride with you if u had a i-roc z or firebird etc. lol if i would have been born 70-71-72 id remember way more, sucks i didnt get to experience that time really. . . I watched tons of videos of kids having their moms and dads or grandmas dance to 80s music lol totally awesome to watch. . . First few seconds a little rusty, but in almost no time , they had it down, remembered all the movies !!! Super awesome. . . All them grandmas still got the dance moves lol Suggestion if I may ??? 😊 Perhaps u could do a video showing different things that were popular in the 80,s like actual items. Be it clothes, hair supplies, cassette tapes, electronics, home goods, would be super cool 😎 just an idea Again great video !!! Keep it up , ur doing awesome !!! P.s gotta ask, how did u Ladies get ur hair to poof out as high as y'all did, hair spray I know, but there had to be some kinda technique to it ? I've heard some say a curling iron, some say a towel , others say a pick and a brush some say simply a hair dryer lol
@JeannieBASMR9 күн бұрын
Oh yes, I had poofy hair! Perms and hairspray were the trick!

@@JeannieBASMR if I may ask. . . What kinda music did u like then, a few of ur favorite bands ??? Just a few days ago, I threw on a jacket bc weather is winter here and so I tried doing the old tuck trick, jacket collar up on back tucked and flared out on the sides hahah not a half bad look, I actually kinda like it 😆

Depending on the decade...and the part of the decade. For instance, at the beginning of the 70s I loved The Partridge Family and by the end, I loved Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Pink Floyd, etc. and then in the 80s, Rick Springfield, Christopher Cross, etc.
@CampFireMike5437 күн бұрын
@@JeannieBASMR nice 👍🙂 !!! I remember growing up watching the partridge family, as well the monkeys . . . Those along with Brady bunch, C h i.p.s officers ponch and John on their motorcycles , let's see I also liked, A team, six million dollar man , classics, love the classics, even now, for about the last week I've been watching Bonanza, just started season 4 haha absolute gold . . . If I'm being honest, I'm 44 yrs old, and today's television, ehh don't get me wrong some stuff is ok, been watching Superman and Lois good show, the new macguyver is alright, old one is better lol agt every now and then, but honestly not too many modern shows I watch. In all honesty I watch a lot of KZbin 😆 love to camp, so naturally anything camp and survival related is awesome, how to videos, modern marvels. . . Other than that I'm big on music, musician here, been playing guitat since 1984. . . Anything from 60s some 70,s 80,s definitely and 90s grunge rock . . .after that I stopped listening 😆

I was born in 1988 so I didn’t get to experience that decade but there were some things I remember. My parents had that stereo system with the ridiculous large speakers 😂. I think my mom finally got rid of it in the early to mid 2000’s. The 80s seems like a time when life started to get “ larger” and more materialistic. Also seems like fast foods and frozen foods were being promoted more than home cooking… I didn’t see any jello molds in this one 😂.
