Jebao 3.4 Wifi Doser - Unboxing, Installation, Liquid Calibration - Dose 2 part - Auto Water Change

Join Chris Roma aka Roma Aquatics as he unboxes and installs 2 dosing pumps. These are Jebao 3.4 wifi dosing pumps. 1 with be for 2 part dosing and the other with be used to replace the Jebao DP-5 dosing pump that was handling water changes for 2 tanks. Chris unboxes, mounts, install the phone app, and does a liquid calibration.

I really appreciate the thoroughness of this video, I see some people made snarky comments but you covered everything in great detail. I don’t think it’s necessary to cover the actual dosing cycle as some suggested because you’re buying a dosing pump… I would think at this point you would know how to use a dosing pump. Great video! Thanks for the video Roma. I'm considering dosing pumps at the moment and was looking at this model. What is the smallest amount you can dose out of these? I have a 15 gallon nano so I don't dose much daily. Example Magnesium is 3ml a day. Can I dose 1/2ml at a time or does it only do in 1ml increments? Also Jebao has a DS4 model now is that newer than this one? It is also WiFi. Another question is can you access these units off of home WiFi, say when I'm on vacation I can still access on my phone?

Great video, I got the same dosed and the only thing I dislike is that you can’t do (0.XX) dosing, hate the fact that you can only overdose or underdose

Side! Great tip on getting those back holes aligned. I always hated them. How do you like that dosing pump? Where can I get those check valves? Every thing I come across I don’t like? What brand are they? Sub’d

not so great. All that effort and he gets it wrong! He put the screws at the point at which the unit can be mounted....and which then drops about 8mm into the keyhole slot. As for some of the other comments he makes....

iv been using the 3.1 single head doser wifi it was working for 4 months now its stopped the dosing i had saved to it for all for reef , its still online i can manual dose but reading up on reviews one guy had one for no reason at all empty an entire bottle of all for reef into his tank that killed all his fish And a ton of corals so na iv taken mine out of the system to dodgy

I just find this the hard way. If your dosing is far from the calibration, do not calibrate at the higher ML. For example, if your dosing is 20ML, then calibrate at 20 ML. if your dosing is 1, 2, or 5 ML, please calibrate at 10ML not a higher number. Otherwise, the dosing amount would be much smaller.

Hi, sorry but what is the difference between the two jebao doser 3.4 pumps? In the sense that I see two apparently identical boxes. Are the two jebao dosers 3.4 the same or do they differ? Thank you!

At 8:53 in your tutorial my pump icon stays grey, it's turned off, I can't get it to turn on. I already have two wavemakers by Jebao and they work fine in the App. But not the dosing pumps , they stay grey , If I press 2 sec. on the pump I go to the screen with the 4 channels, but it's all grey, If I push the off button nothing happens, this is soooooo weird , I can't find any thread with this issue. Do you have a possible solution ?? , I paired it with AP, Smart is a no go with the two of them (i bought 2).

Is the Zero Day Interval on automatic setting make it dose every day or is that OFF? I was thinking the 1 day interval was every other day?

0 = every day , 1 = every other day

Dude I'm trying to install these pump but the app won't find the pump already tried with 3 different devices I have even one raspberrypi as AP for WiFi 2.4ghz and still not working... do u uave any tips how make it work? Very appreciated any help 🙏

I can't believe the app doesn't allow you to just set a total daily dosage, and have it auto divide into a set amount of dosages. My 6 year old Bubble Magus doser does that.

Do you need any kind of siphon break or anything to prevent back siphon?

This is a peristaltic pump- it won't back siphon because the hose is pinched at the pump head. Plus, when you dose you don't put the tubing all the way into the tank you are dosing- it just hangs above it.

Yous should have put the screws center top in the small bit not the big bit at the bottom or it will be lower then you wanted when mounted

Does not make any sense, should log the setting locally if it does not then is defective and should send it back.
