I got everything printed, printed my old mounting adapter once on accident, 90% through assembly and then i see I have to grind the extruder nub down 💀 did it tho. Thank you for the design. Works with ender 5 plus with direct drive. I also didn't have the correct length screws and/or the holes were too large on the bottom, the top holes on the mounting plate have about a 5-10mm gap between the front assembly, so I used threaded inserts, heated into place that stick out a decent amount from the top and used the threaded inserts on the bottom for a more secure fit. Printed in black PETG and it's flawless 👌

Nice looking build. Looks like you really put the time into making everything look and work good. I've been looking for one with a Micro Swiss with a Sprite Extruder, but I'm very surprised I can't find one. They're both very common parts that are used by many people, but I guess they're not used together very often. I bought the Sprite extruder on accident, thinking it was the entire extruder/hotend setup, but it was just the extruder... so then I bought a Micro Swiss hotend to go with it... but I'm not even sure if they're compatible and/or if I can download any fan shrouds or mounts that are compatible with both of them, especially one's that look decent.

You said "Reefer" ha ha ha! You'd have to be my age to understand. I used Reef Crystal's and had a bunch of floaters on top of the water. Brown shit stuck to the heater wire and mixing pump wire. I dunno man! I just mixed a batch of "Instant Ocean" and got zero residue.

Just an idea, but in marine tank people use dosing pumps to keep the water parameters in check, what I'm thinking is that perhaps you could mix up some extremely salty water, and run that through a marine dosing pump in small quantities, lets say just a few ml per hour or something daft. That should be an effective way of simulating the transition to salt water. I don't think running it through a freshwater dosing pump would be any kind of good idea, but a marine one should theoretically be able to handle the salt, just research it before you ruin a good pump. If you try, and it works just give me some credit for the idea lol.

With your tutorial I was able to successfully install Klipper on my Sunlu S8 with the stock board. I am trying to add a bltouch and I cannot figure out what sensor and control pin to input into the configuration file. I physically put the control on D11 and the sensor on Z- on the board. When I turn on the printer the probe cycles properly. I can command the probe to move down and up but when I send the query probe command it always reports as triggered. When you were scrolling through your configuration file, I took a screenshot and set mine exactly as your is. However, if I try G28 I always get failed to verify BLTouch is raised. How can I verify I have the senor in the correct pin on the board and I have the correct pin set in klipper? I also tried flipping the sensor pin with no change.

I have a different issue. When I mix Instant Ocean Reef Crystals I let it run for a while, sometimes overnight, with an air stone. There is then about a tablespoon of very light brown granular crystals at the bottom of the bucket. When I first saw it, I thought that somehow sand had found its way into the bucket but I ruled out that possibility. I now filter the water before I add it to the tank. I have also noticed the brown/beige deposit on the sides of the mixing buckets that others have commented on. I now rinse and dry my buckets after each use and no longer see that. I believe it could be some sort of microorganism that requires a bit of dampness.

Only thing I'm ify about is if theyre smooth level, no warping so if you want to just clip it to the surface of a glass plate. Other than that this is absolutely amazing!🙌
