Nice demo! As other have noted, the Spruce Goose was the nickname of the wood prototype aircraft built by Howard Hughes. Hmm, a Hughes piloting the Spruce Goose again? I was on the EHX development team, and did the graphics for the Goose as well as all those pedals you demoed in this vid. Appreciate you checking out our stuff! Enjoy!

The spruce goose was a single plane built by Howard Hughes. It was made entirely of wood and was the largest plane in the world at the time. It only flew once.

@TheDarinAmes4 ай бұрын
You are correct Sir! Good on ya! As far as I know, Hughes piloted the plane himself on its solo flight.

Howard Hughes H-4 Hercules (Spruce Goose) was actually made of birch and made one small flight, made of wood because of WWII restrictions on aluminum.
@gtr19526 ай бұрын
It's now in a museum, N Ca, or further up the coast? They built a building specifically for it. It's an interesting story! Hughes was supposed to be doing taxi testing, he pushed the throttles up and took off! It never got out of ground effect, but they counted it as a flight. LOL --gary

Jedd, you might like the Walrus Monument tremolo v2 pedal. I think it’s great. It has harmonic & standard modes, you can choose your wave form, tap tempo, momentary latch for on/off, as well as momentary latch to increase the speed when pedal is on. They recently released a stereo version, which I haven’t played yet. Cheers, mate!
@ddw1326 ай бұрын
The Monument (mono) is a great trem. I have a few options but I think it’s the best for anything but the most basic on/off. The momentary works well, plus there’s an expression jack. the new stereo one looks and sounds terrific and the option to stereo pan and blend between standard and harmonic trem feels like it’d be great for guitar and for a synth

Dang, that Doozie sounds good! I've looked at LP Jr's from Eppie, Gibson and CS, plus vintage. It's just hard to part with $4000+ for a LP Jr.!! I think the Doozie is ~3400?? Think I have to try building one first. I'm a 'newbie' for pedals. All I used for the first 40-ish years was a Boss Blues Driver. Then I bought a head with no reverb, and I bought a HOF verb pedal. Maybe it's time to play with pedals a little more. 8) Thanks Jedd...., I think? LOL 8) --gary

Howard Hughes built the Spruce Goose out of wood, since something that size (it was huge) needed to be light enough to fly. It never quite “took off “ so to speak but was subject to much scrutiny and subsequent ridicule.
