Then moved to sabaheen St and moved again to Sary Rawdah front of China open Restaurant.. All my Saudi clients were so good to me and Jeddah was my second hometown.. I lived in Jeddah from 1980-1990. I didn't realize that it was the worst decision my parents ever made to leave. I had just turned 11 when i left and to this day i'm still hurting. My life was never the same after we left Jeddah. Jeddah was a modern city, and from what i see it's gotten way more modern since 1990.I do remember the corniche, i don't really remember much of the buildings except the iconic desalination plant, ( cos i lived very close to it) and the bank of commerce downtown. We did go to the souk, and the fish market quite often i remember. I hope one day to return to Jeddah to heal my wounds:) even for a short stay as a tourist.
