This is probably the most underrated song of all time. He wrote it at 20! It speaks to the existential human experience. It hints at the depersonalization disorder Vinnie would desribe struggling through many years later. This song is just brilliant in many ways. The album in general is not the most professionally produced obviously but this song is up there with the greatest JMT songs and the greatest rap songs period!

@@simransingh214 No I do not suffer from the disorder. I am sorry to hear you do. I do find it fascinating because I have had positive out of body experiences. It is the most difficult disorder for me to wrap my mind around. It seems to have certain overlaps with teachings of Vedanta/Yoga but unfortunately the disorder causes lots of mental pain.

I once met Vinnie and got to hang out with him backstage. I was so stoked to meet him. One of the only hip hop artists I truly liked and admired since I'm super picky and they have to have a certain sound for me to really dig them. My buddy was a promoter for them so I got to just spend all night chillin with him. One of the coolest dudes ever. I told him I'm not really into hip hop, and that I really only like unique shit and I'm more of a rock guy. But told him that I really liked him and Army of the Pharoahs which is true to this day... Vinnie goes "yea I ain't much into rap either, more of a metal guy myself". We hit it off immediately and it was a great night to remember I'll never forget that shit.

You butchered the quote, since you've clearly never actually read Aristotle's works. The exact quote Vinnie pulled his line from is *"Whosoever is delighted in solitude, is a wild beast or a God."* Which summarized just implies that absolute solitude from any outside interaction will either bring you to Godhood or reduce you to a monster void of humanity. The latter is more often the case since most men cannot go without social interactions and succumbing to desires of the flesh. It's almost impossible to abstain from humanity when you yourself are a fragment of it. But few can rise above it, while most will destroy themselves trying. Sometimes it's safer to just accept it and submit to the fact you're just a man. Never becoming much, but never losing what you already have.

This is literally the most relatable song i've ever heard. It's so bullshit knowing that the same bullshit will just happen over and over till you die.. "To live alone one must be an animal or a God" one of the deepest things ever. Everyone needs friends and people in their life to be happy but life's reality much more harsh, going through my struggle everyday by myself with absolutely no one is real pain. Even after saying all this millions of times, it all just happens over and over again with no changes.

Crazy man , this could be studied and should be studied in university classes how poetic it is, 90s rap was truly remarkable. That was the peak of hip hop mostly downhill from there lyrically Beats today r better than ever but hip hop was at it's best early 90s late 80s. Was still pure in its artform but was mainstream enough to have so much talent Back then people who couldn't rap didn't try to rap.

2023 although this track is so depressing ... its also about as raw as it gets . I remeber back when i was a wild child in highschool i would bump this track on repeat with the homies while rolling balls ! For some reason this track along with the hard ass beat would make our hairs stand up and boosted the trip alot more than your average electronic music So many memories come up when i hear this track its inevitable for me to feel about the same as before ❤

I, I who have nothing Intersections in real time The unbroken circle and dimensions of the mind The tie that binds The eternal tie that defines The vanity of my insanity in due time Will shine Like the night seas under the moon The haunted corners of familiar rooms Yet I'm consumed We're vanishing into thin air The realization that this shit is my cross to bear So where Did I think I could run away to see The people that decided to leave without asking me But we Decide to wait for happier tomorrows And find someone so they can be distractions from our sorrow But my distractions the books of paper that I scrawl in I'm eloquent as summer breeze and leaves that have just fallen I've crawled in a corner hoping all of this will end With the knowledge that love is just another word for revenge I who have nothing but the comfort of my sins I who have nothing but the comfort of my friends I, I who have nothing I, I who have no one I, I who have nothing I, I who have no one As I decay, demons prey above me like a vulture Ability to endure contradiction is a high sign of culture Verbal sculptures, self defacing It is not God or lunacy that I am facing But the erasing of the purity and passion of my words The herds of cattle babble on with talk of the absurd But I preferred To walk away from all the feuds To find my life is more confusing than a rubic's cube So I'm subdued In all my words of verbal prods To live alone one must be an animal or a God But it's official All of my pain is clear as crystal The natural side of life has now been seeming artificial But I can hit you And rest assured that I'mma last words I could give a fuck about ya secrets and ya past words I can pass words and their ability to hurt you Patience is a virtue and knowledge is of commercial I who have nothing but the pain that I refer to I who have nothing but the pain that I've refered to I, I who have nothing I, I who have no one I, I who have nothing I, I who have no one Lost among the miracles, I stand alone And I've grown into a being that's sitting on top a throne I've known For many years that I would turn to rust I find a reason for another breath Before my return to dust I become one with science and mathematics and the rising of the sun I'm numb To all of those who blind and cannot see The chastiser of the enemy Perception requires duality Inspect ya soul, the color of coal inside the body I have hardly come across them who's holy Send them to the cherubim to control thee Burning of the sun and frigidness of the cold The battlefield is new but the war is now old You can never see the merest shadow of a halo Above the head of evil djin who's deadly like tornado The world has become an aquarium Full of gaping fish with murderous smiles I on the other hand stand on the outside looking in Writing down murderous files I who have nothing but the lack of variation And I who have nothing but chains and suffocation
