Grievous 2003 thought that he killed Sha'a Gi, but he couldn't understand the piwer he was dealing with. Sha'a Gi merely faked his death, so the events that the Force wanted could happen. Tonfa would be sick if it were engineered differently, so instead of a lightsaber blade sticking out where a tonfa shaft would be, the outer edge of the shaft is a lightsaber emiter.

I've had a similar thought for a long time, although in my case it's just a set of two lightsabers with multiple configurations for dual-wielding, one-handed, two-handed, and as a saber-staff with single or double blades. Not quite a lightsaber pike, but what can you do...

I like the idea of Jedi Shaggy with a light whip. His thing is more long range combat if we're talking base Shaggy. If we're talking Ultra-instinct Shaggy, then it's either saber, tonfa, or pike.
