I think the only way is to practice. Practice the 4 beat strumming pattern which is D,D,UDUDD,DU and the 2 beat strumming pattern which is D,D,DU. You can practice it without fingering the chords. Just get used to the beat of the song. Once you have mastered the strumming, add in the chords. Once you have mastered both, add in the singing
