Maybe I'm just cheesy, but I have long said that pads are some of the most beautiful and impressive sounds synths can make. They fit so well in many genres of music, and a ballad with the right pad really is affecting and can leave a lasting impression (to me, at least).

Thank you, I'm really glad you like it. Very simple, use the LFO's to pan right and left as well as modulate the volume a bit, not too much. Add your favorite reverb and delay afterwards but keep the mix around 30-40%.

I have always wanted to own a MS2000 for it seems this synth can do it all from deep luscious pads to organically edgy sounds. I also like all the knobs and switch's that you can tweak in real time to get some flipped out one of a kind sounds. Korg at least to me seems to be the ones that have and are producing the best synthesizers for I have owned many of them in the past 42 years the first being a Univox Mini Korg than onto a Korg PS3100 and many others. Korg rules!

@@GatekeeperMetal Happy to share, usually with synths I plug them into an ART Pro VLA2 Compressor with upgraded tubes, then into a Strymon El Capistan and BlueSky, into my interface (Motu 828ES) into Cubase. It's important to use EQs right, cut away frequencies that you don't need to make the overall sound better.

@jedisid
@jedisid 8 жыл бұрын
david brake yes you should be able to, it's the same architecture.
@bladerunner2125
@bladerunner2125 8 жыл бұрын
Absolutely you can make the same sounds on the MS2000 it uses the same DSP Processor, the difference is mainly the addition of an XLR input and Gooseneck Microphone for the vocoder, the MS2000 also has an 1/4" input Jack for a vocoder on the rear but no microphone is supplied, also the Korg Microkorg has the same compatible hardware but nowhere near the control surface, if you just want the sounds then a Microkorg will supply them.

Ok I've gotta ask, how'd you get such huge sounds out of a four voice synth??? Sounds amazing. Any external reverb/delay?
@jedisid
@jedisid 7 жыл бұрын
Chase Cloutier yes I always use external delay and reverb, but more importantly is how you record. Make sure to use properly panned stereo recording too.
@tintala
@tintala 7 жыл бұрын
can you expound on this , what do you mean by properly panned? thanks
@fritz3802
@fritz3802 4 жыл бұрын
I assume you use the reverb to have the sounds still ringing from the previous pad when you switch because you switch and normally it cuts straight out if you’re just using the synth itself “dry”. However if you are using two different sounds on the keyboard at once, how? I have only twiddled with the knobs so far, no experience yet with using the actual digital programmer
@jedisid
@jedisid 4 жыл бұрын
Fritz hey, yes the reverb and delay means the sound trails on when I switch presets, and for getting 2 sounds at once you can go multi-timbral or split the keyboard in the menu. It’s a feature in this synth.

Henrik Fugmann Yes I always use reverb and delay, mostly Strymon ElCapistan and BlueSky. My settings always change, I usually keep the Reverb at 40% mix and 75% room size, and the delay mix at around 40% and the feedback at around 60% just to give you an idea.
