It's not just the light. This technically isn't a real hologram like the flat glass ones that use a transparent file to record a 3d image. It's more of an illusion, which lets it easily get past the challenges of real holograms to create something "more magical" that resembles what people typically think of when they think of a hologram based on tv/movies. It's really clever and effective

The problem is, it's not a 3D hologram. It's simply a light shining on a plastic model. Do a search for Hologram and find the difference. By the way, this isn't a "new" idea, It's been done before. Whilst I admit the item is interesting, what I don't like is someone misrepresenting the effect and accepting praise for something he didn't invent. He doesn't even acknowledge the person he copied it from. That's what cheeses me off.

If you haven't yet, I would recommend you hollow out the prints in your slicer settings along with adding a hole. It will help with the amount of wasted resin.

That looks amazing. I don't know if you have access to a FDM 3d printer (the ones that use reels of PLA or ABS filament). If you do, using Tinkercad, you can 3d print a negative mould of an object, which could cut out the silicone mould stage of your work. All you do is import your object into Tinkercad and then turn it into a 'hole'. Then create a box big enough to encase the hole object and, select all and merge them. The hole object will create an empty space inside the box. I make sure the box and negative model are flat on the work plane so there will be a hole to pour my moulding material into. After I do this, using a slicer programme, I cut the box into four equal pieces, lay them flat, hollow side up and print them on my 3d printer. Then assemble them, pour in the material I use to make a positive model (in my case, plaster of paris). The flat sides may need a bit of sanding to ensure a flush finish. Once set, I take the four pieces apart, remove any flashing that has leaked into the seams and I have a plaster cast of the model I want. I hope this makes sense.

I'm guessing that your figurine is cast of a different 'clear' material than the epoxy resin that forms the bulk of the piece - different refractive indexes?
