Really good solution , thanks a lot . Polar co-ordinate system and spherical co-ordinate system are not generally taught in coaching. I also did by same method but was stuck on solving differential equation

you could have done it from the rotating frame itself, and with that, it's won't even be rotation, it's just circular motion
@Phyx_IITM Жыл бұрын
Yes you can definitely do it that way, but that's what everyone else has done on the internet so I wanted to share an alt method. Also in the rotating frame the motion of the block will be translational not circular.

can you explain how to find the solution for part 2 when solving it from the rotating frame?
@rajeevnayanpal616 Жыл бұрын
this question did not require knowledge of Coriolis force it was a passage and we just need to read and answer I don't know why there is so much hype about this question . This was actually a simple one standard integrals also
@Phyx_IITM Жыл бұрын
Yes it's a standard problem as in no additional thought process is needed if you know abt the standard methods but as most people are not clear with basics itself it becomes complicated when u see it for the first time and ig that's why this question is hyped up.

the same sort of question is given in hc verma and even in the paragraph it’s mentioned about coriolis force

Guys this is not tough but I understand your point. Polar coordinates are not covered as much In jee syllabus by most teachers. I'll try to make a video on it.
