Have you tried this👇 "PHOTON gas in a CARNOT CYCLE" problem in round-2 #fizika exam . The problem was an extension of previous JEE mains question and "free expansion #physicssirjee original " . For those who didn't attempt the exam , try this before the watching the solution and don't miss the practice problems at the end . This is a potential JEE advanced question for the future . Better resolution for Fizika problem 👇 drive.google.com/file/d/1Q1AtgpjR1eLqx5OTkYHY1gp8mZuXHU-b/view?usp=drivesdk You can re-visit the old video on photon gas here 👇 kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZuxpZ55drx9asU The JEE mains 2015 was discussed as a part of "revision series video " here ( go to 41st minute directly )👇 kzbin.info/www/bejne/aZWYpGN_eLt5rJo

16:25 Yes! The result holds. Is there a reasoning behind this or this is just a coincidence. Maybe the similarity in process equation for adiabatic process in photon gas and ideal gas is the reason.

Sir, at 11:55 using the previously defined formula does give us the right relation, but is it correct to use the same one for the adiabatic process as the one for isothermal(we uses VdP=0 to get that one)? Wouldn't we have to use 4PdV + 3VdP =0 to get PV^(4/3)= const and then get VT^3 = constant.
@anubhavsingh15363 жыл бұрын
16:25 Sir, in this question during isothermal process if we assume initial and final volumes as V1 and V2 respectively which depend on pressure and temperature as P(V^4/3)=constant and VT³=constant and as both P and T are constant for the graph as it is a straight line parallel to x-axis therefore V1 becomes equal to V2 and Work becomes zero and eventually U and Q also become zero for the given process but as the graph states it should not be the case so Sir kindly tell what is the problem here??
@PHYSICSSIRJEE3 жыл бұрын
The mistake is mixing equations of isothermal and adiabatic processes

13:03 I have a doubt. How are we sure alpha is same for every adiabatic curve? Maybe we could write N=f(PV^(4/3)) * alpha * S , where f is a function of PV^(4/3) which is constant in a particular adiabatic process. How do we do it then?
@PHYSICSSIRJEE3 жыл бұрын
Hint from video : PHOTON gas need just two variables to define state unlike three for ideal gas. So at a given volume ........ , You can fill the above blank by your thinking, I guess 🙂

We derived the expression for entropy, considering Isothermal process but we use it even for adiabatic... How can we do this?
@PHYSICSSIRJEE3 жыл бұрын
Entropy S is a state function, independent of which process you calculated from. ∆S , which is change in entropy ,then, is estimated according to the change occured in a particular process. The key here is to note the understanding of S and ∆S

While deriving Torricelli's theorem, we use Bernoulli's Theorem. But when the fluid is flowing through the orifice, the speed of all the fluid particles passing through a given point in space is not constant, as the height of the liquid, in the container, changes with time. Hence, the flow is clearly not a steady flow. If it is not a steady flow, how can we apply Bernoulli's Theorem at the first place?
@PHYSICSSIRJEE3 жыл бұрын
Orfice means very small hole. So the change in speed is so slow that it approximately allows Bernoulli's theorem. As the hole becomes larger the formula we derive becomes farther from reality
