the stat doubling is much much less broken than free tavern spells + them going back to the pool once you buy them which makes them an inexahsastable resource.

Quest is busted even if you dont go for minion with millions of stats you can have infinite gold, i have no problem with lubber but the spell discount quest is just too much. The guy who created the quest i dont know what he was thinking it proves that no one is testing the content.

@11:03 casts first stimulant on ele @11:05 casts second stimulant on ele @11:19 turn is over and ele jumps from ~75 stats to ~300 stats @11:43 next turn and frozen ele is at 361 stats. new ele next to it is at ~65 stats So not only does stimulant stack on the same minion, but a new tavern aura from Azerite is applied on top. Insane.

its really coded so fucking weirdly, I played vigor on a minion i the tavern before stimulant hoping to get to keep the 7/7 stats from the bonus, but it kept all 14 stats, I have NO FUCKING IDEA why or how. BLIZZARD. this wouldnt have happened if brode was still here...

@@theendofthestart8179 @xfreeman86 Stimulant snapshots stats, so basically it sets the minion's "base stats" to a new number. Auras are added to a minion if the aura is not detected, and since the minion has new base stats, the aura was removed, therefore it can be added back again. Minions also can't lose stats from their base stats (except beleaguered battler), so vigor stats won't be removed once stats have been snapshotted. Same deal as when you could use old Vol'jin hero power or kooky chemist to snapshot quillboar gem stats, then pull the gems off of the minion with necrolyte to duplicate the stats from gems.

Hot take: I prefer it if Blizzard releases stuff unbalanced and then nerfs/buffs it later instead of releasing stuff "perfectly balanced". That way, at least we get to play with the crazy powerful stuff for a little while. Sometimes in regular Hearthstone they'll release cards that were nerfed in development, and they end up releasing underpowered and kinda lame and then they buff it slowly over several patches until it eventually becomes playable. I think it's way more fun to have broken stuff for a little while but obviously not for too long

true but small indie game company blizzard can’t sustain a team that can support battlegrounds where only game breaking shit is fixed in emergency patch while other stuff takes weeks to months (ex leroy murghoul metas respectively lasted wayyyy too long wo a change but everyone has their own opinion) among many other issues. balancing is always gna be an issue in bg in each meta but i loved lubber meta and other broken shit so i agree

I somewhat agree with your take: a big part of why I love BG is the insane crazy shit you discover you can do in the middle of a game, that's very exciting every once in a while. With that being said, I've already had about enough of lubber meta. I like APM gamestyle and Tavern spells are cool, but I wish it were a strategy you'd have to "work" and risk for, and I just don't like how you're able to pull it off - or rather, the most efficient way of pulling it off - is by staying on a low tier and rolling the entire game.

theres also a cast tavern spell twice one. got multiple 2k stat minions in a non elemental lobby. had around 50-60 gold per turn only limited by the animations that take forever when playing "2x" the spells.

Stimulant only works at the start of next turn, if the unit is still frozen. So it wouldn't work like that, but it would definitely be fun to have it pulled from hand + the t6 murloc that copies stats from hand. If it's golden it would be a 150 million stat murloc...lmao

Haaattteee the quests. They are so broken they will force you into a playstyle making everything you did before turn 3 irrelevant unless you luck out.. It also makes the game less skill based and way more luck based since some quests are incredible when others are just useless

Please enlighten me because there is something I can’t wrap my head around… the spell suspicious stimulus clearly states “Choose a minion in the Tavern. Lock it in your hand for 1 turn and double its stats.” So why does it stay in the tavern when he plays the spell on it?? It gives him the possibility to play several stimulus on the same unit in the tavern in one go. When I tried the spell as soon as I played the stimulus on the minion in the tavern, it was transferred to my hand and locked for one turn as the text says… what am I missing??

Looks like it got to ~60/60 and then after it doubled to ~120/120 it got the elementals in the tavern buff again recalculated ontop of it adding another ~30/30 Another bug for battlegrounds 👍

Honestly these quillboar t3 builds are pretty disgusting, and the quests made them even more so...on top of that, the midrange craze is even higher now as people try to complete their quests, so top 4 players are all T4 and if you ever try to level up past t4 before turn 10, you will die 9 times out of 10. It sucks

not really, you just gotta make sure you triple into a 6 when you level to 5 if you are having that problem. but i do agree that staying down is more common from quests. -top 100 na player

@@avalope that is a problem on itself. Tripling always has a chance of fumbling if you are offered trash support cards or cards that don't fit your build. And that 1 turn that you lost tempo can cost you 15 HP. In other words, while you are trying to "play fair", people are buying 0 cost spells and having 50 gold turns on turn 8. A build like dragons only work if you high roll now, because good luck getting to 6 and getting a brann and kalecgos before dying

@@voidgods you can also just roll on 4 and get garbage as well. Saying that rng is a factor is not a good point since everyone faces rng. Sometimes you are lucky. Sometimes your opponents are. The game is a risk/reward type of game. Jeef cant win 100% of lobbies even tho he is better than everyone else in it.

@@avalope that's the point though - these t3 builds and the old t2 lubber build are soo consistent, with a golden lubber you can't even "roll for trash" because you get mostly spells and free gold out of them that they often finish the turn with excess gold. They negate a lot of the RNG and that's why everyone tries to play for them, creating an environment where no one wants to take the added risk of leveling or going for a late game build, and those who do are even more punished than before. Meta is just stale and boring. When 4 players in a lobby are doing the same build there is an undeniable problem. The only way you don't finish top4 with one of these builds is exactly because everyone else will be contesting it so someone is bound to roll higher. Even then, the pool for t3 cards is larger so there is a chance all 4 players finish top 4 😂 to end my point, Jeef even ends the video with "this game is so bad" with an annoyed face. He realizes it is OP as fuck and he can imagine him being on the receiving end of one of these builds
