The sami might need some love and smells bad, but I've always thought it looked awesome. I may have to build one in the future. With a Jetta engine of course 😌

Are Cherokees like that still ubiquitous enough in the US that people pay no mind to damage them?

I'm from Japan. The Suzuki Jimny... no, the Samurai is driven differently to begin with. It doesn't have the frightening power of American cars, so you lower the tire pressure, avoid full throttle, and drive with more grip. Because of the leaf suspension and small wheelbase, you drive on mogul-like terrain or rocky ground, stepping on the apex of the bumps. Although the Cherokee has leaf springs in the rear, the Samurai can't run without reading the driving line carefully. I've been driving old models and current models for about 25 years, and once you understand how to drive it, you can take advantage of its incredible lightness. Up until 1978, the Jimny in Japan was 550cc. However, I think this displacement is a masterpiece with maximum lightness. At the end of 2024, Chairman Osamu Suzuki, the founder who expanded the company to the world in one generation, passed away. We pray for the repose of his soul. And Chairman Osamu! Thank you for making the most fun cars. I have posted a short video of the 660 Turbo on my account. It's a bit nose-heavy for a 1500cc, but I hope it will be helpful.
