Sweet rig and nice Overland Bound badge! I am member 1096. I had a 98 SR5 4Runner, but she finally kicked the bucket after 284k miles. I've been looking for one of these but they want an ungodly amount of money for them out here...IF you can even find one. You got my sub...I'm a fan of the channel so far.

That's a lot if work for a 33 . I have an xk daily driver I'm thinking I want a slightly wider aggressive stance. it's not for the trail I have a fully built crawler xj that rides on a trailer for that , but it seems these things cost a grip just to add very little to them ...lol... I guess I could toss a d60/14 under it and go full hydro and add an atlas then toss the old 44 tsl I had on the xj before the 42 inch stickys went on ...lol... it's almost cheaper than buying prefab superlift stuff... wow... that shit is pricey for very little.

@@jeepcommanderoverlanding7219 how has that extra 1.5 turned out so far? I'm still trying to figure if I'll be happy with 2.5 or go broke drooling over superlift 4. Do you recommend for family go to vehicle?
@jeepcommanderoverlanding72194 жыл бұрын
Shawn Denty I recommend it only if you plan on keeping the truck for a long time. I am the original owner with not a lot of miles and almost no issues with the truck so for me it was worth it.

@@jeepcommanderoverlanding7219 cheers dude, we've had it for 4 years and the closest we will ever get to a minivan I hope! It is the LTD 5.7 2006. Almost mint, but with 3 kids, it is the highway traveler with 3 rows of seats and DVD player. We want to get overlanding with the kids and our JK as well as the XK but have heard so many mixed reviews of the commander being lifted and reducing its function as a family battle wagon. Any other suggestions or recommendations will always be welcomed. Thanks and as always keep the rubber side down.

Yes you can use the JBA UCAs for lifted XK they specifically say they work with a super lift ONLY if it is modified to 6 or 8 inches
@vegasxventures6 жыл бұрын
You think the cost of the 4” super lift for 33” tires is justified over the 2.5” ome lifts that allow for 31” or 32” tires?
@jeepcommanderoverlanding72196 жыл бұрын
ArmasADVish depends on what trails you run. I had 2.5 and scrapped all the time. And with this setup I almost never hit.

No use OME lift with the HD springs and add a 1.5 inch strut spacer to the top and jba upper control arms 1500 bucks for about 5 inches of lift compared to 2300 for 4inch super lift

@jeepcommanderoverlanding72196 жыл бұрын
Austin Ward I did not have any issues maybe because I have the wheel spacers. But when installing the superlift they tell you you need spacers of a certain amount of backspacing.
@austinward97216 жыл бұрын
Jeep Commander Overlanding Hhmm, ok. I have wheel spacers on mine but I still have rubbing on the plastic part of the fender well and it's hitting a setting of hoses that are behind it. I've been told they are HVAC lines.
