I’ve been running a Softopper on my K5 for 5 years full time. The company is great to work with and very customer focused. Love running in Safari mode. Some tips: Put some pop pins (vs. the self tappers) in the rear window bar to retract the bar ends, then you can roll it up backwards up into the top. Then fold those back corner flaps in, towards the front, before you roll the sides up and they don’t stick out the back like a bad doobie. Haha. Nice choice! Looks very cool on there.

Hard shell toppers are not automatically sealed to the truck that is a extra item. It's called a pass through and you have to take the truck window out and the hardshell window out. Nor do all hardshells come with an opening front window to gain possible access through the truck and shell window that is usually an option as well.

I love the soft topper! Our daughter is in a wheelchair, and soft topper gives us the ability to protect her wheelchair from the elements when needed without the commitment of a hard topper. I still have the option to haul tall loads or a fifth wheel RV or cover the bed with little effort to transition between the two configurations.

Have done hundreds of cap installs on pick up trucks over the years (worked at truck accessory/Rhino Liner dealer) and the best tool for cap clamps is a cordless 1/4" impact driver. Gets the clamps properly tight without over tightening and they won't come loose over time. This will also keep the cap from leaking over time.

I have one of the soft topper on my F350. The thing is great. I’m happy to see them featured here. The customer service sold me on the brand. If you set it up correctly it really is that easy.

At first I was like no no. But once the install was complete I kinda dig it. The fit is good and I like how the front goes down past the bed for water run off. The (safari look) is cool too. Btw in this clip those wheels really stood out I'm liking how they look and how the off set is. Really makes the stance look beefy.

We have run a Softtopper on our truck since 2009 and it has been fantastic for us. They aren't far from you there, their shop is in Boulder. I stopped in there to say hello, it's a family business and great folks. I highly recommend them and will use them again on the next truck. ETA: Run some seam sealer on the joints where the buckles are sewn on the outside and inside. That stops them from soaking through and dripping when wet for extended rains.

I almost missed this video due to my rabid work schedule...that soft top is right up my alley! You can carry fishing poles, tools, emergency provisions, coolers for tasty beverages, dog treats, plug kits, acoustic guitars, lunchables, friends, fishing poles, kinetic recovery gear, cassette tapes, fishing poles, clean britches and socks, flashlights, Coleman stoves and lanterns, firewood, spare tires and pocket change. Oh, and cameras, tents, Oreos and milk, welders, flashlights, and your favorite sneaky snack...easy cheese and chicken in a biskit crackers! Oh wait, hammocks, beef jerky, lug nut wrench, Fishing poles....fishing lures...........

I had a Soft Top on my old F150 worked great but you definitely need the snaps on the inside front panel. When going down the highway the wind will blow in if not secured. The only complaint i had about the soft topper was the blind spot it made when up while driving. I would buy it again if I had the need.

Not too crazy about the velcro on the paint. I wish they had incorporated the angeled plastic strip on the bottom inside of the window like on a TJ softtop, then have a corresponding piece to add to the top of the tailgate for it to lock into.

I have the mopar premium softtop on the gap which has a removable rear window. interested to know if there is a way to have this without the window in between to have a full length open space inside connecting the bed to the cab.

On my previous truck with soft topper I gorilla glued magnets inside the tailgate and put magnets in the tail flap and it worked perfect. No Velcro on tail gate and never had to worry about it ripping the Velcro off or tearing in cold environment
