This is my current car. Comparing it to my old 2.5 Touareg 7L, it's a very different car. In some cases it is different in a good way, in other cases in a bad way.
The engine is one of the best features of the car. It is very capable, has a nice V6 sound, and it makes the car surprisingly fast for it's size. It can cruise without any issues on the highway without feeling a lack of power.
It is commonly known that it's a popular offroader and a very good choice for an overlander vehicle. Parts are mid-range priced and a decent selection of offroad parts are available.
The biggest downside of the car from my perspective is the wind noise. Being a big, box shaped car, the wind noise at high speeds is very disturbing. As the noise measurement shows, the soundproofing is the worst for any car that I tested until this point.
All in all, for it's price, especially if you don't have premium expectations, it's a good deal. Capable and versatile, I would definitely recommend it!

The best Jeep Grand Cherokee series ever. Here in Brazil, few units were sold on the occasion of the wedding with Mercedes, it is difficult to find one for sale. those who have do not sell it is a historical and collectible specimen

Foarte bun video-ul! Felicitări! Și pe mine ma tentează sa aduc din Germania o mașină exact ca a ta. Nu știi, se pot întâmpină probleme la RAR cu privire la emisii?

Merci! Depinde de starea masinii, dar cat timp e in stare buna nu vei avea nicio problema la emisii.

I wonder if that transfer case at the back is the same as WK2? Wk2 models transfer case can brake if you don't watch for your tyre profile. They said if your tires at front have less profile after couple of months you can expect a failure. They are pretty sensitive to wheel rpm..

The stock ground clearance is better than most suv's but its not good enough for serious offroading

Frumoasa, ma gandesc sa schimb Rangerul in viitor si sa iau un Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0 crd ,insa impozitul de 2400 lei ma c-am da inapoi. Ce probleme ai avut pe la ea?

E urat momentul ala când plătești impozit intr-adevar :)) măcar e odată pe an. Probleme speciale nimic, dar cam multe mărunțișuri (direcție, frâne, revizii ulei). Noroc ca prețul pieselor e f decent

Salut.M-ar interesa sa detaliezi punctele negative in comparatie cu Touareg. Si eu am avut un Touareg V6 pe care l-am vindut nefiind multumit de consum. Ma intereseaza daca confortul este asemanator in ambele masini pentru ca eu am ceva dureri de spate de la multi kilometri parcursi. Fata de modelul MK2 mi se pare mai necomfortabil interiorul si din pacate mixul de 3.0crd cu MK2 nu cred ca exista. Multumesc anticipat pentru raspuns.

Salutare. Nu e la fel de rafinat ca și Touareg. Touaregul are materiale de o mai buna calitate în interior și sta mai bine atat la confort cat și la insonorizare. Marele avantaj al Jeepului (motivul de fapt principal pt care am făcut și eu trecerea) e ca găsești mult mai usor piese pt echipare offroad și în medie, prețul pieselor ce le-am schimbat la Jeep sunt cu 30-40% mai ieftine fata de cele de la Touareg.

В левый прикуриватель нельзя вставлять зарядку телефона, ни что ли бо еще. Это чисто для прикуривателя. Об этом даже в руководстве написано.

Engine on this one is solid the ecodiesel is kinda junk wich is really sad because the face lift looks sooooooo good I wish the kept the Mercedes engine

@@stefanbreit5324 I have had this one (wk1), and the wk2 with the eco diesel. The Mercedes engine in the WK1 sounds a lot better. Both can be amazing engines but you need to help them: on my wk1 i had it tuned and switched out the turbo for the ball-bearing turbo from a Mercedes ml350. that and deleting the egr and swirl motor allowed for a solid 300hp tune. made it a really fast car. On my wk2 it gets more difficult as time progresses due to environmental laws. I basically did the same: delete the EGR tube, alter the downpipe (keep the particle filter though, legislation!), change the intake tube, but not the turbo (id does not exist like it did for the Mercedes engine). Then I have a proper tune on it and also that one drove effortlessly untill well over 250000km with over 300hp. still, the mercedes engine in the wk1 always felt stronger and sounded a lot more tough. the ecodiesel is no junk engine, but all the smog stuff they had put on it makes it an engine that gets very very dirty internals, and that compromises reliability and performance, once you undo all that nonsense the engine really wakes up!.
