I've been struggling with broken wires in my wire harness for years. Thank you for taking the time to post. Much appreciated liked and subscribed.

I have this problem with my WJ. I have watched a few videos on how to do this repair and this video makes the most sense to me. So many people cut the boot and even one person did the repair with house wiring marrettes. Now I know I can pull the connector into the cab and not fight the wire in the door jamb. Thanks for taking the time to make this video.

Only 266k on the clock? Just getting broke in! I'm closing on 280k and have had to repair wires in the driver door several times. Getting ready to do it again with that kit from Rock Auto. Not looking forward to soldering 10 wires cramped up under the steering wheel, but we do what we gotta do! Thanks for the video, shows me I did earlier repairs the hard way (didn't pull the flex boot back through the bulkhead).

I think you made the best fix I have seen on the WJ! Did that take care of the intermedentant instrument problems also?

Really good, a real practical application, shown, bit, by bit, great.

Excellent content...loved the technique... my 2004 is now experiencing the very same... didn't know how to remedy it. But this was epic.

I noticed one fix where a guy just removed both plugs and installed newer, longer wires, put them in 1/2 loom and back into and through the rubber, and soldered them together on the other end also. I guess the only issue comes if you have to take the door off or replace it right? Do you see any issues with doing it that way? (I know you wouldn't do that for a customer, but it's my rig!)

How to disconnect wires from door and pull through to inside of Jeep? Maybe easy but confusing to me. Thanks.

Dealing with this myself right now. Looks like the red and black was already redone, hoping I can at least get my windows closed tonight.

That's great information, but how do you undo the wires to begin with? I already slid the red tab up, but it still won't come undone. That was a vital step that was skipped in this instructional video.

I also need help with this part of the process. Spliced a couple wires in the past on my 04 but cut the flex and and was tough to work between door jamb.

I scrolled down tried to find any comment asking you how much time this took . I injured my right arm so I'm left handed now and limited use of my right hand fingers . So I. Am curious how that worked out for you on time . ?

Damn you Chrysler! Had a '94 Grand Cherokee, got rid of it in 2018. Bought the 04 WJ, and the first thing I noticed was that boot. Knew this was going to happen, Why do these idiots keep re-inventing the wheel. .

After two years of spending money almost every month to fix "something else!" on my WJ, this is the problem that finally broke the camel's back for me. I have zero tolerance for a car that breaks by just looking at it. It is now being pulled apart at the local junkyard by other poor saps who bought these POS's. If they are smart they'll be sending their WJ's to the yard in the not-to-distant future.
