future tech BMW has always had issues with their tail lights. E53's would melt the housings..there is TSBs for it. E46 had so main issues that they had a TSB that you needed to add an additional Ground. E70 X5's had problems too. The X5 is the BMW model with the MOST problems...then comes the 7 series.

Well, I will just say this. If the Cayenne Turbo S is indeed slower than the X5M, I am pretty confident Porsche will make sure in the coming next generation of Cayenne will definitely beat it and probably by some margin. The next Cayenne will not be just a facelift, it will be a completely new car, it will be interesting to see what they come up with.

First of all, the X6M is not comparable as it has no cargo space. Nah the BMs won't be faster especially not around the track. Ever since the Cayenne surpassed the X5, I am yet to see a more favourable review of the X5 over the Cayenne.

I regularly run 4.0 with my stock srt. Best 0-60 to date 3.8 with an AFE intake and nice cool day in the 30's. 1/4 mile mid to high 12's at 108/109 all day. If you know how to use the adjustable launch control you can achieve much better times. I ran 4.4 with 300 miles on the truck so this guy does know the truck. More horsepower the will always pull on the top end so Im not surprised the results of that race.

I was taking my R33 GTR (600hp dyno checked) out for a w/e spin and (long story short) ended up "drag" racing some dude in his new(ish) X5M, I think a 2017 model as it looked really new... had to use more foot pace than expected to get in front of him... was impressed tbh! I'm so surprised that the Turbo S performed so poorly. I traded in my 2016 911 for a 2017 BMW X6M recently for two reasons: 1) The 911 wasn't good as a daily driver, people say it is but they must not be doing many miles. Extremely rough ride (it's a sports car so I didn't expect anything more or less). 2) No car connects with driver like a BMW, but Porsche is a very close second. This is all subjective of course, but a lot of people would agree with me. Porsche is a better brand when it comes to status though, if that's what you care about. In Canada, a Porsche Turbo S starts at $182,600. Bmw X6M starts at $112,700. $60,000 price difference & don't forget Porsche is king of charging big $$$$ for options. SRT is great value for money, I've seen them optioned out selling in the $80's.

Actually if your going by the Luxury Sport SUV category....The X3 or other X5 models would be in the same category. The other Mercedes SUVs are the same. The fact is....the SRT jeep will easily spank any other manufacturers SUV with $30k of it. The Hellcat jeep will embarrass these SUV's like the SRT jeep did when it first came out. Sure they are nice and quick...but nowhere near "worth" that amount. I work for BMW "certified Tech" and the X5 is the biggest POS they make.

I also loved M cars...but the romance faded when they stopped the E46 M3 and the E60 M5. BMWs went down hill when they started making the turbo engines. A car that needs constant maintenance is Job security for a Technician;-) The M5X ran/handled well...but the rest of the X5 was sub-pare quality wise. Completely untrue...it's as different from the base jeep as the X5M is from the 3.0i X5. Springs/shocks,tires, ride height...alll have been changed. I've only been in the early SRT8 Jeeps and it handle amazingly for an SUV with a relatively narrow track. SRT8 jeep .87 Gs, 62.6mph salom X5M - .89g's, 63.3mph salom When the first 6.1L SRT jeep came out it easily out performed the then Turbo Cayenne. It forced Porsche to up there game and bring out the Turbo S model.

Being a current owner of a 2015 SRT jeep I can say that this really isn't a fair race. The jeep sRT should be matched up against the cayenne s or maybe the GTS and the x50i Bmwrslo. These two German models cost 50000 dollars more for the bmw and I don't even know what the porsche goes for. 140+ maybe. Honestly the Vmw IMO is the best bang for buck performance wise. I've raced one on the street real world. It was not even close. After 30 mph It walked me hard. I'm considering purchasing one but the Jeep, with the Gt Haus exhaust I have is just so damn mean looking, fun as hell, loud as hell, and such low maintenance I'm bent on deciding if the Vmw is worth the buy in. I do know these bmw m models respond insanely well to a tune alone where as the jeep srt for the 2015+ years are nearly untunable. It's a shame.the porsche is sweet looking but I can't see it being worth another car in price over the bmw.

I drive the X5M... the exact one in this video actually as my daily driver. and the car can handle better then most sports cars I've been in, actually almost all of em... I'd say its almost up there with my 13 corvette 505HP 427, as far as accelerating goes, and handles nearly as good. I've test driven the SRT jeep just before I bought the X5. Its impressive in corners, but nothing like the BMW. its also half the price...

Hendra Di It's just not, looks like a deformed hippo. A good looking car is something like a Jaguar E-type, Ford GT40 or an Alfa 156 or Peugeot RCZ from the modern age for instance. Classic, well thought-out lines and a beautiful shape, not a huge blob with weird angles and proportions like the X5, or pretty much any modern BMW to be honest. Ask any great car designer (Giugiaro, Bertone, Ian Callum) what they think of stuff like the X5, they'll probably vomit just by the thought of one.
