+Tuddec BMW>Everything. Audi maybe has nicer interior to some. Merc has better engines to some. Overall nothing touches a BMW interns of being an All Round Savage. Class, Race, Space, Handling, Feel, Precision and it costs Half as much as the Porsche. New turbo m3 with a tune is faster around a track than turbo although it still gets smoked in a straight line. Again half the price, 85% 911 Turbo performance. BMW is truly a Savage.

Not so obvious, actually. The Porsche Cayenne Turbo S is slightly more powerful, and has more torque, and is lighter than the BMW. It's not obvious that it won, it's shocking.

The BMW X5M is one fastest machines there is and the power delivery is smooth but like a hammer at the same time. It truly is "The Ultimate Driving Machine". Even with BMW's outstanding X-Drive system and 285 front / 325 rear tires, you can still create wheel spin from a complete stop.

future tech BMW has always had issues with their tail lights. E53's would melt the housings..there is TSBs for it. E46 had so main issues that they had a TSB that you needed to add an additional Ground. E70 X5's had problems too. The X5 is the BMW model with the MOST problems...then comes the 7 series.

Well, I will just say this. If the Cayenne Turbo S is indeed slower than the X5M, I am pretty confident Porsche will make sure in the coming next generation of Cayenne will definitely beat it and probably by some margin. The next Cayenne will not be just a facelift, it will be a completely new car, it will be interesting to see what they come up with.

First of all, the X6M is not comparable as it has no cargo space. Nah the BMs won't be faster especially not around the track. Ever since the Cayenne surpassed the X5, I am yet to see a more favourable review of the X5 over the Cayenne.

I regularly run 4.0 with my stock srt. Best 0-60 to date 3.8 with an AFE intake and nice cool day in the 30's. 1/4 mile mid to high 12's at 108/109 all day. If you know how to use the adjustable launch control you can achieve much better times. I ran 4.4 with 300 miles on the truck so this guy does know the truck. More horsepower the will always pull on the top end so Im not surprised the results of that race.

The X5M is amazing! I was taking my R33 GTR (600hp dyno checked) out for a w/e spin and (long story short) ended up "drag" racing some dude in his new(ish) X5M, I think a 2017 model as it looked really new... had to use more foot pace than expected to get in front of him... was impressed tbh! They are fast for an SUV!!!!!!

Actually if your going by the Luxury Sport SUV category....The X3 or other X5 models would be in the same category. The other Mercedes SUVs are the same. The fact is....the SRT jeep will easily spank any other manufacturers SUV with $30k of it. The Hellcat jeep will embarrass these SUV's like the SRT jeep did when it first came out. Sure they are nice and quick...but nowhere near "worth" that amount. I work for BMW "certified Tech" and the X5 is the biggest POS they make.

I actually had an X5M and it was the best SUV (not really an SUV in my opinion, but definitely more versatile than a sedan) I've ever owned, and I can't wait to purchase another one. Eric Roberts "Wow, then why do you work there?" When the economy dropped..."well off" people weren't hurt by it as much..more business. I actually was certified/worked at Ford before going to BMW. I also loved M cars...but the romance faded when they stopped the E46 M3 and the E60 M5. BMWs went down hill when they started making the turbo engines. A car that needs constant maintenance is Job security for a Technician;-) The M5X ran/handled well...but the rest of the X5 was sub-pare quality wise. As for the Jeep..comment, "The jeep handles like a sloppy squid with tires. It's not a high performance setup. Just a jeep, with a big engine." Completely untrue...it's as different from the base jeep as the X5M is from the 3.0i X5. Springs/shocks,tires, ride height...alll have been changed. I've only been in the early SRT8 Jeeps and it handle amazingly for an SUV with a relatively narrow track. SRT8 jeep .87 Gs, 62.6mph salom X5M - .89g's, 63.3mph salom When the first 6.1L SRT jeep came out it easily out performed the then Turbo Cayenne. It forced Porsche to up there game and bring out the Turbo S model.

Going from a WK2 to an F85, there’s no way I could go back to the Jeep, even a Trackhawk. Yes, the engine is phenomenal, but the interior quality is utterly inferior, especially in the price bracket. I have no doubt the 6.2 SC will wind up being far more reliable, and it’s certainly faster, but the F85 is just a much more well rounded package. I suppose if you plan on keeping something long term though, the Jeep is probably a better choice, the worst you’re going to have is the leather dash peeling. No way I’m keeping the X5M once the service contract is up.

robfrmny21 Firstly the SRT is as expensive as X5m in certain countries due to hi taxes, thats what makes me think its not worth, Sure BMW ,Audi all use ZF, but Y the hell is ZFs used by FCAs fail so damn often and r mostly towed to dealerships for software changes and tranny overhaul etc shile Bimmers etc do fine at least till 75k miles? Its an over used term that Germans r unreliable, but I for one tends to disagree sure,BMWs,Audis etc tend to break down a lot once but since 2012 they have been mucj better specially Audis,reliability is top notch, even rivaling Hondas reliability, dont believe me check consumer reports or autocar reliability survey. I dont kno anybody with X5M or even SRT but the regular Jeep is worst reliable SUV money can buy in Europe,somehow they r reliable in Australia tho This video also shows how much turbo charging is compared to super charging and big displacement engines,

I drive the X5M... the exact one in this video actually as my daily driver. and the car can handle better then most sports cars I've been in, actually almost all of em... I'd say its almost up there with my 13 corvette 505HP 427, as far as accelerating goes, and handles nearly as good. I've test driven the SRT jeep just before I bought the X5. Its impressive in corners, but nothing like the BMW. its also half the price...

What years specifically were these models, respectively? I'm surprised the Turbo S lost to the BMW. Hell I'm even surprised the Jeep lost. Like if this test was run today with modern versions of these vehicles, my money would be on the Jeep SRT Trackhawk in a straight line. Around any twisties though, I think hats off to the Cayenne, no? Those handle superb, for a 5000lb SUV.
