Jeep J 20 Stake Pocket Cover

I modify some TD Performance # 8795 Stake Pocket Covers to fit my Jeep J-20's bed and help my tonneau cover to better seal out the weather.
This would work for any J-10 or J-20 Jeep pickup bed. In principle, I suppose any stake-pocket covers for a 1988-1999 Chevy or GMC pickup bed could be modified to fit a J-10 or J-20 pickup bed.
I also used some 3M # 08578 Strip Caulk to help these covers seal better.
The exact amount you would have to trim off the covers to fit your stake-pockets may vary; not all my stake pockets were precisely the same size.

Glad I came across this. I am trying to find a bed over for my 83 J10. I am also trying to see which Lund Sun visor fits closest as well since I can not find one for a FSJ. I am also going to put new gauges into the buckets of the stock ones. It’s my daily and not a show truck so I don’t mind. I do however want to drop the 4spd for a 5spd as the transmission is a bit sloppy so now is the time and pull the 4.2 and possibly drop a LS 5.3 I have into it as well. You can never run out of ideas with these trucks and they sure keep one busy working on them.

There's *always* something more to do... I would love an LS swap, but I'm realistic about the time that would take to do right, and I don't want to set my truck aside for that long.

@@bbsbcv An LS swap can be done in a weekend and finished up during the week. We did it with a buddies Cherokee Chief that was a 360 4spd. We put in a 6.0/5spd. My 5.3 will go in around May. I am putting heated Envoy seats in as well. It will be neat, she sure is no beauty Queen but it looks good.

Hey doc I got a 86 jeep j10 the oil pressure gauge is reading weird first kick on reads 40 when driving drops to zero but no noises or anything changes still drives fine any ideas I’m going to replace the fuzes and see if that helps but other than that you have any suggestions

Probably not a fuse. The first thing I would try is replacing the oil sending unit, and making sure the connector is staying secure on it. There is a two wire sending unit for the choke, and a one wire sending unit for the oil pressure gauge. Make sure you are replacing the one wire sending unit for the oil pressure gauge.
