Hey Eric-Thanks so much for posting this. Our 18 JKU dumped the washer fluid when it was -5F. I just happened to see this first, and the filter WAS fully cracked. Used the BMW replacement and it seems to work now (though NOT currently below 0). A big help! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍✌

Thanks for posting that. I took it to the dealership where I bought my Jeep and they told me that the reservoir was cracked and they could do it but it would cost me $500. The reservoir was not cracked I did it myself after watching your video.

Crazy that they wanted to replace the reservoir when it could have (and seems like it was), just a bad grommet / gasket. Happy to hear that it worked out!

Thanks for posting this! I recently had this same problem after my Jeep was sitting outside for a few hours in -15F temps. I was able to get the BMW replacement through my local auto parts store for about $6. It looks like it will fit better than the Mopar brand!

Nice, got to like those cheap fixes! If you have a way to empty the remaining washer fluid before pulling out the pump, it’ll reduce your clean up time a little.

Just replaced the strainer and its still leaking slowly. I need the part that the strainer fits into. Anyone have that part number?

Have you changed the washer reservoir? Without removing the ABS unit
@EricCantin2 жыл бұрын
I didn’t have to physically remove the reservoir to change the pump grommet. Is your reservoir leaking elsewhere?
@make622 жыл бұрын
@@EricCantin Yes, especially in winter when using antifreeze

Leaks only when cold? Did you check at the pump as per my video? That’s where most leak when weather drops.

Just noticed mines had small puddles of it too. What year is yours? I have a 17 JKU and am about to replace as well.

Our 2012 and 2013 both leaked badly during the really cold winter weather. Is yours wet around the pump?

It looks like what the video has shown. I’m not ice just small puddles, but will fix when off work
