The YETI XD™ JL/JT Sector Shaft Brace With Frame Side Track Bar Reinforcement Bracket was engineered to bolt onto the stock track bar mount on the frame. The purpose of this piece is two-fold. First, the sector shaft support is meant to help minimize the aluminum and steel steering gears from flexing/deflecting/moving when cycling your steering system side to side.
The second part of the product is to reinforce the frame side track bar mounting location to help minimize any deflection of this bracket and ensuring that the mount doesn't break under extreme stress.

Love that brace but there is a TSB for the sloppy steering on these JLs. That’s why the aluminum box and steel box. If you have sloppy steering get the dealership to install the steel box then install the box brace you will not be disappointed. Keep the good videos coming Jerry.

That's a nice looking bracket assembly. I've had two buddies with JK's that snapped their sector shaft on the trail(separate occasions). Took them with help from others in their group all day to walk their rig back to the trail head, where a tow truck could pick them up.

Great job Jerry . The JL's are really nice inside but at a price I'm not willing to pay . I use a ratchet strap to line up the track bar but I have done it the way you did it too . Jerry you can also turn the steering wheel to get the trac bar to align. Hopefully that eliminates the death wobble.

Awesome Job Jerry! My only comment; I believe final tightening and torque of the track bar bolts should be performed when Jeep is sprung or on the ground. Just my $0.02 usd 👍🏼

@BackCountry Wrenching I see tons and tons of comments just like this. They see no wheels or wheels off ground and jump on the , "it's gotta b on the ground b4 torque to spec. Jack stands under axle is exactly the same. That torque everything when it's on the ground is for people using a lift, u won't see someone jacking up jeep by the frame , and extremely rare that someone puts stands under frame, especially with the amount of travel with a jeep
