Looks awesome man, and I'm sure it will be a hell of an improvement at night! I agree with blacking out the rim. Looks like a good opportunity to explore doing black chrome! When I had my old 1981 gs450, I was always thinking about doing the black chrome on the fenders, but never tried it...

Thanks man. Have these on my Jeep JK, they work great and look awesome. Was looking to put one on my ‘13 Thruxton and found your video. Did you solve the chrome ring to black dilemma? I’d want black as well (my bike is the exact same color).

Yup! I used VHT tint to paint the chrome ring around the headlight bucket and the mounting ring. 2 super light coats, then 2 medium coats. Came out glossy, almost like black chrome.

Looks awesome - have you tested how hot the back heat sink gets. I'm thinking of this mod but don't want to melt any wiring inside the light bucket.

Rhys Hutton not yet, but I plan on it. It is slightly more narrow than the stock light. So even if wires touch it they arent crammed up against it in the bucket.

I got the same bike but in British Green, I do like the look of the LED light for the bike, did you try to ride with it at night and How does it perform in the bright road vs the halogen one?

Nhan Doan way brighter, you have to aim the headlight up more than with a halogen.

Got it installed. Look awesome and really bright. Only thing I noticed is the light heat sink get really hot and I just hope It wont going to melt the whole electrical wires bundle inside that headlight :D Thanks

I want to do this conversion to my 2009 Thruxton but due to a fall and some damage the previous owner had I need a new 'inner' bezel, I am in Australia but cant find one. This is holding me up. Anyone have a 7" inner bezel I can purchase?

You disconnected the H4 connector and a second connector which you said was for the running lights. What did you do with that second connector on the new LED light as it does not appear to have the 2nd connector?

Taped it up and tucked it away. Then eventually used it to power a phone charger.

@@AimlessMoto Was the other plug for the 'parker' light? I've got one of these for my Thunderbird 900 and the parker light plug is not included on the LED head light. So, I guess I'll forget about parker light? Just run low beam and high.

Have you had issues with the rectifier and/or headlight bucket wiring yet?

Nothing at all. Over 1000 miles, up to 100 degrees F outside. It draws less than the halogen... so it puts less stress on the R/R than stock.

The 2015 changed a bit, not sure if the headlight bucket fits the same as the 2014.

Just did this to my 2011 T100 today, took out when it got dark and WOW what difference. I may be blinding some folks - but I can see. Thanks, mines a carbbed 04 but I’m about to do a complete overhaul. Tiffany blue with everything else blacked out. Just wanted to make sure the LED headlight wouldnt be an issue.
