To many people are complaining about how long it takes for him to load or make a video . He's only human and I think sleeping in a bed from time to time is deserved for him. Give him a break he needs to fix things and make sure his dog and himself is in good health so he can travel more so what if it's a weekly vid instead of daily. If you love him you'll support him either way. I'm sure he gets burned out trying to keep everyone happy he has to keep himself happy too . We all know he's an inspiring individual. Keep it up Jake :)

I work for two reasons. 1) So my dog can have a better life. 2) So my jeep can have a better life. I can not wait to upgrade my JK but that has to wait due to life. SO I am living vicariously through Jake, Jade, and Annie till I can get started on my stuff!

About that missing part of your CB radio, I think you displayed it in your video on 1/20/17 at 4:16. The little silver colored box that goes between your handset (radio) and the antenna.

Found your VLOG when looking for ideas on sleeping in my Jeep when I don't feel like setting up a camp. That was 2-3 weeks ago. Since then I have been watching every single episode back to back until I finally got caught up to real-time. That just happened the other day. Now I can finally subscribe so I don't have to worry about spoiler alerts! My Jeep is named Jessica and is very similar to yours. It is a matte black (bedliner) YJ with a CJ front, mild suspension lift, and 33's (but 12.5 instead of 10.5 like yours). I don't have a hard-top or sweet roof rack like you, but maybe in time. I am super excited to see someone exploring the world in their Jeep instead of just hitting gnarly technical trails (which are cool too, but you know what I mean.) Hopefully the Jeep will get fixed soon. It is a bummer being out for the count, but it is also part of the journey and it sounds like you have a very well established support system so I don't worry too much. Jeeps are definitely money pits, but in a good way if that is possible. ;-) I think that a lot of people identify with the feeling of wanting to sell everything and just go explore the world. I have known a few people that have done it and no one I know has regretted it for one minute, so kudos to you for taking that leap! I have had some crazy adventures when I was a little younger and hope to have many more in my time, but your videos do make me realize there is no reason to just hope I adventure more, rather I should just keep living life and adventuring the best I can all the time! I am filling out the survey now. Hopefully it doesn't get lost in the tons of responses you got but I completely understand if your journey takes you elsewhere. Good luck and I'll be following along!

hey Jake you can get a posi lock cable activated front axle engagement. you can also use 4 low 2 wheel drive
@c_d_rock8 жыл бұрын
Hey Jake, fellow yj guy here. I have the same vibrations at the same speeds, and that is caused obviously by an improperly balanced front drive shaft. But you might want to consider doing a mechanical swap for the front axle disconnect on the passenger side half shaft (this feture was only in yj's). This disconnect was made so the front drive shaft doesn't spin while in 2wd, and is engaged when shifting into 4hi/4lo (as an alternative to locking hubs), this could be causing a lot unnecessary wear, and drag while driving. Most guys just go in and wedge the shift fork in the axle mechanism so that it is always engaged, such as in your case, but again, it's not a perfect fix. Consider fixing the vacuum mechanism, or even better doing the mechanical swap. Whether or not you already knew this, hope it was helpful information, here's an example of the kit you would by for the repair. Safe travels. www.4wheelparts.com/Drivetrain-Differential/Crown-Automotive-Disconnect-Lock-Kit-RT23003.aspx?t_c=12&t_s=237&t_pt=101224&t_pn=CRORT23003&scid=scplpCRORT2300390284&sc_intid=CRORT2300390284&gclid=CjwKEAiAxKrFBRDm25f60OegtwwSJABgEC-ZUQfk0Tiv0fqJfL1BaCoJr8vExOqbAIgUNo5TIMPmOBoC2yDw_wcB

Jake, stay safe out there man. I just got in my first accident today and totalled my Cherokee. It happened as I was turning left in a turn lane, the lights on my side of the intersection turned red, I tried to clear the intersection assuming that the other cars had a red light and we're stopping. As it turns out their light never turned red, and I got T-boned at about 50 mph. Everyone was fine, but it could have been very bad. Just wanted to share how easy it is to make a mistake doing something that we all do. Thanks for all the great videos!

First off, Glad you are ok! Second off, this is a great reminder of how easy something like this could happen and with all the miles I drive the likely hood goes way up. Thanks for sharing and again really happy you and everyone else are ok....besides the Jeep...RIP friend!

I was afraid the TC was going to be damaged. At least you can get the SYE sealed up too. And I'm pretty sure you had that part for the antenna. I remember we were looking at it and I was explaining how to mount it. Might be too late now but it was there. Ken and Garvin Industries are amazing! You should have signed the old tailgate and sold it on ebay ;)

Hi Dan & Jen! Jake held on to the old tailgate...I'm thinking he has plans for it in the near furture. BTW, Jake hasn't been to Disneyland before and while he's in So Cal, he'd like to go. Hey Jake! I'm pretty sure the part you need for the CB is Firestik K-4A stud mount www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00T4RSQ92/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I just ordered one myself to put a CB in my Jeep Comanche. I don't have it yet so can't say for sure, but by the pictures I'm like 99% positive it's what you need. With how high you're roof rack is a quick disconnect would probably be helpful too. If you still need these parts let me know I'd be happy to contribute to some Jade modifications. Keep up the awesome vlogs! It's been really cool watching your vlogs and story telling get better every day. When you get to Michigan my driveway is always open if you need some help on Jade. The Keweenaw peninsula in Michigan's Upper Peninsula is absolutely gorgeous, it would be a blast to show you around on some jeep trails and waterfalls when you get this far east. DFTBA!
