One of the best in depth videos on installing these fenders. Couldn’t find anything on these until coming across your video!

Thank you very much! I love the added strength and clearance the new fenders provide. I couldn't believe it when I saw my stock fenders flapping in the wind. I never have to worry about that again. 😂. Thanks for watching!

Awesome instructional video! I think you've got this KZbin thing nailed down. In the future you might consider doing an instructional video on just what it takes to create a KZbin channel with quality content such as yours. Buster just asked me if I'm gonna make another round of popcorn. He only ate about 3/4 of what I made. I still love him. Buster and dad.❣

I could really go for some Popcorn right now with you both! Glad you liked the video! KZbin has helped me in many ways like providing a great place to find good and bad examples of how to do things. More importantly, it has been inspiring and encouraging to tap into my own creativity as well. I hope these videos are helpful to others who are interested in tackling their own interests.

Thank you very much! I am really trying to focus on being better and more consistent. The HD Steering video caught a little momentum and 20 new subscribers so far! If it helps a few jeepers out there, it is all with it in the end.

Can you provide a link to the lights used in the fender? Do these function as turn signals, and not just running lights? I think you said quadratec pre-runner lights. But when I look those up, I only see the three lights that go in the grill. So I’m confused on how those wire in, etc. Great video thank you!

The lights for the fender are from Metal Cloak and can be found here. metalcloak.com/low-profile-led-marker-lights-jk.html They are Running lights and should be plugged into your original marker light wiring from the stock fenders. Sorry if I confused you with the quadratech set up. Those lights also tapped into the marker light as well. actually, the metal cloak lights and the quadratec lights themselves look exactly the same.. it's just a low profile amber led with grommet. I checked the metalcloak website and it looks like they updated them to have a clear lense and orange LED. I believe mine are an orange lense.. they turn on when you either turn on your running lights or headlights. Thanks for watching and best of luck. Hollar if you need any more info

@@86Ctopher Let me just say again, this video was super helpful! I got my front fenders on yesterday. This video saved me! Particularly how you emphasized the tightening of the bolts. My inner fenders (I have the DV8) had to be screwed into the bracket that Metalcloak provided before all those bolts got tightened. I had to leave them finger tight, so I had a little slack to work with when getting them back on. I also found those top center bolts were a pain to align! I got it done, but I had to put pressure from underneath like you did with the block, as well as from above by pushing on the fender. I also had to make some of the holes just a tad larger. I also have rock sliders on my JK. I had to remove those as well. Luckily, the very bottom of fenders were able to tuck in behind the rock sliders!

One final question, since your rivet nut installation was not available. What size rivet nut tool do I need? I see Metalcloak has a 3/8" and a 1/2" tool. Do I need both sizes for the install of the rear fenders, or just 1?
@86Ctopher3 ай бұрын
Lol, I didn't realize you sent this! I sent some advice on the other rely thread. Glad you are looking at the tool! I used the bolt nutsert jig that metal cloak provided to do all of the nutsert install. It was pretty straight forward and spraying a little silicon lube or WD40 helped keep the heat down and squishing the metal insert easier, but dude, I should have gotten the actual nutsert tool. there are just too many and the bolt jig barely made it through all of them. The nutserts are all the same size so you shouldn't need two different sizes. Probably best to call metalcloak on the size. My guess is that the 3/8 would be just fine.
