Jeep Patriot Windshield Washer Reservoir Removal & Electrical Connector Unplugged (2009)

In this video, I show how the steps to disconnect the windshield washer pump electrical connector and then I show how to remove the washer reservoir. I also included some drawings to show more details.

Great tutorial and info thanks for you work here, I couldn't get the wire disconnected until I watched this. Very clear and informative. Mine was was clogged by a residue from very old fluid. I back flushed with water and compressed air, emptied the reservoir and filled with clean fluid. Works like new

My reservoir is leaking won't hold the fluid. I hope I can replace it!

Hi I have a jeep patriot .I recently got it's front subrame replaced. Since it's replacement the steering is not in center. It drives straight but the steering is not in center? The guy who replaced it says it needs an alignment , butbteh gy who does the alignment says the steering needs to be centered... I don't know what to do can you make a detailed video explaining this.

If the steering wheel was centered before the replacement, it only needs an alignment. When a new sub-frame (crossmember) and a steering rack are installed the parts have fits and tolerances specs standards, so, it is normal those parts are not exactly positioned the way they were from the factory. Only 1/16 of an inch offset requires an alignment.

FYI, I've got a 2011 Patriot and my Crossmember was replaced by the dealership free of charge due to a Recall by Chrysler. Depending on what year your Patriot is, it might be covered by the Recall. If your Jeep qualifies for the Recall and you were mistakenly charged for it, they will still refund you.

there is a third bolt under the reservoir that is not easily reached with out pulling the brake fluid reservoir

My Jeep Patriot is a 2009 and only one retaining bolt is used to secure the reservoir.
