The one I have has a star screw in it where you put that pick. But the screw doesn’t seem to loosen ?

@@hiddensun6926 when I removed my little plug there was a torx bolt there. Is that something that will fit through the hole? Thank you for helping me through my lack of mechanical knowledge

I tried this but there is a torx screw head in that hole! What year was this Renegade. Mine is a 2015...could it be different?

That's what I ran into as well.

Scrubasaursrex it could be different. It will be the same concept though. Back the screw out and it should move a slide mechanism. Just be sure not to back the screw out too far and drop it in the door. Some have stoppers to prevent that some don’t.

I unscrewed it for what seemed like 5 minutes straight. No change. I think it has black stopper. Still can't pull the handle off

It is odd...I tried loosening the screw for a while and tried tightening the screw for a bit. Neither made a change. I feel like I should remove the door panel. And that just seems like too big of a hassle.
