Exactly, these are such amazing cars they HAVE to be compared to high end BMWs and Porsches. I have the a 2007 300c SRT8, the one compared to an M5, and I love every second I'm in it.

@AWDSRT8Jeep Cool! I would expect much better than mine at the lower rpm's... I just couldn't go any slower without holding up traffic. Cruising at 80 means holding near 3k rpms the whole time and that eats up gas fast regardless of the engine. Glad you were able to put up such good numbers on your trip! Any mods yet?

i HAD a 5.7 Hemi...had a wreck 4 days ago due to black ice (thank God insurance got me on this) my hemi is quick enough! this thing must feel like a rocket!!

@AWDSRT8Jeep 2010... 2,800 miles as of right now and I put all those on over spring break. Right now it's parked about 300 miles away because I'm way north in MI and there was a ton of salt on the roads from winter so I took my '88 wrangler up north instead.

the vettes from 98-04 i believe had ls6 5.7 motors. the newer vettes comes with a ls2 motor witch is a 6.2 liter motor. the ls1 and ls6 motors i believe are the same just ls1 is camaro/gto/firebird motor and the ls6 is in the vette but its the exact same motor just gm named them diffrent.

@gildreavus That's why the Mopar Performance guy told my buddy not to put more than 5-6lbs of boost through his SRT-8 Challenger...the 6.1 is beefier than the 5.7 internally, but they aren't really built for alot of boost (Damnear Chrysler never intented to sell them forced induction). More boost will kill the Mercedes- sourced trans and diff's first probably, but with enough boost windowing the block is easy, too. I have a supercharged and a turbocharged car (2 seperate cars), built both

@olikat8 SRT doesn't come out of the factroy with the normal internals and such that a normal jeep comes with. Dodge's SRT division takes the time to work things like that out.

@FUCK202 oh yeah, i forgot about the diesel motors, and i didnt know they had didfferent specks for europe and other places.im not an expert on the chevy motors but i believe they are all off the same design, 16valve pushrod v8, just with slight differences, heads/oiling system/cams/intake, and the ls9 is supercharged of course that comes in the c6 zr1

@AWDSRT8Jeep As of right now my only mod is a new oil filter... lol Catch can within the next week or two and further down the road a Mopar CAI, Corsa cat-back and a Trinity. Hopefully that will keep me satisfied for a while... XD Also going to debadge soon and maybe black out the window chrome and rear bumper chrome

@MPLSTORM It will smoke a bottom of the line vette, but it will only beat the Z06 in the 60ft, maybe. Nowhere close to a ZR1. It's just power to weight, even with the supercharger its lacking compared to Z06 or ZR1. BUT, they can't haul 4 friends to golf, WITH clubs. I love both Chevy and Jeep, and I will be picking up my SRT8 Jeep in a few weeks, just to let you know I'm not being biased here... :D

well the stock truck if you dont hammer it was able to get 15.1mpg. So Supercharger added on if you dont hammer it prob get around same MPG. Remember people this truck takes Prem gasoline.

it's a two seater, this jeep can carry 5 people... also with the all-wheel drive it can be comfortably driven in the snow and rain. and the viper is out of date in terms of toys and interior appearance

ive driven the normal grand cherokee and i didnt like it. i rented it in nevada 2 years ago to go off roading and as a luggage carrier. over the summer i rented a 4runner to do the same thing in arizona. i liked the 4runner much much better, it was roomier, more powerful, and had a low range. im sure that the more powerful gc's are more fun to drive, but i love handling in a car more than power, so i wouldn't buy one unless i had a lot of kids.

it will outperform the cayenne in a straight line, but thats about it. i like this car a lot as well, but id rather have a base cayenne because its about the same price, has a much nicer interior, comes with a much more prestigious badge, and will handle much better. if you really want to save money, youll buy a vw touareg, which costs less than 40,000 and is identical to the cayenne but with porsche crossed out and vw written in.

people are dumb, i have a 2008 chevy avalanche with a 6.2 V8 and i do fine on gas, and im hitting about 12-14 mpg. its not bad unless your poor, then you dont need the car to begin with.

@FUCK202 ok, first jeep grand cherokee never came with a 2.7 l, either a 3.7l v6 or a 4.7 l v8, now about the ls motors, basically ls1(5.7) comes in 4gen 97and up ss camaro, and also the base model c5 vette,(97-04) ls6(5.7) came in the c5 z06 vette(roughly 00-04) ls2(6.0) came in the base c6 vette until the introduction of the ls3(6.2)..ls1(5.7)350hp,ls2(6.0)400hp,ls3(6.2)436hp,ls6(5.7)405hp,ls7(7.0)505hp,ls9(6.2) 638hp.

@antonio0186 Yeah, spend twice as much on a Cayenne Turbo that is slower than the Jeep. Smart buy for sure. Don't even bother giving me shit about "comfort" or anything. The 2010 SRT8 has a more comfortable interior than my dad's ML. It's an exceedingly comfortable car that is tame when you want it to be and a total beast when you decide to floor it a little bit. It also won't make you look like a total tool who wastes $100k+ on a comparatively slow car.

This truck is far, far less expensive than Porsche or BMW. This year you can get one brand new for under $45,000 american. I am in Canada and they start at $48,000. No way you are getting a new Porsche or BMW SUV at this price. I am a Porsche guy ... but according to many reviews ... this thing out performs even the Cayenne (not the Cayenne Turbo S model though).

how are people comparing this car to an audi and porche??? they are not comparable vehicles what so ever. small import vrs huge muscle family jeep... over all the srt8 line is a great lineup and people who think otherwise are stupid. it is not supposed to be your porche GT3 its your large family sedan that has a lot of power. and for those of you who suggested a porche cayenne, that car is comparable to the SRT8 but slower and more expensive...

They got the 6.1 litre engine so yeh if u got a heavy foot like me, u well be spending $90 every 2 days ...I used to have a lincolin navigator and that thing almost bank rupt my poor bank acount .
