My 2002 TJ X has been a great vehicle. Picked it up in 2005 so I have been driving it for 19 years. Lots of mods completed, lots more to go. My daily is my work vehicle, but my Jeep has been my personal vehicle for all of those years.

I drive jeeps for over 35 years and I never had one fail on me. As long as you maintain them, good oil, zinc additive for the 4.0's and 4.2's and it will take care of you. I drive my TJ 4.0 sport for over 5 years now, it has 202K kilometers on it and I daily drive this Jeep. Never ever did it miss a beat. I often hear about Jeeps being unreliable, well . . . . this has nothing to do with Jeep and everything to do with the owner or previous owner. I hav a 3" OME lift, 33" tires and the infamous D35 in the rear but I never had problems with it. I drive it on the highway, forrest roads etc. It holds up fine. Just your basic off road stuff. I service my rig every 7.500~10.000 kilometers and that's the key to success I think.

So I “daily” drive my TJ… I say daily, but really I drive it to the airport, where it sits for days and then drive it home again. I’ve owned my 2006 TJ Sport since it was new and it only has about 115,000 km, (around 71,400 miles) on it… I’m up here in Canada, and because they dump so much salt on the roads, it’s a real challenge to keep everything rust free, but for the most part it’s still pretty clean. I agree with you…Every time I get in it I enjoy it just as much as I did when I first bought it. It’s not a rough ride, it’s a Jeep and it drives like a Jeep… That’s why I bought it, that’s why I love it and if you’re not into Jeeps, you wouldn’t understand. My previous Jeep was a 1986 CJ-7 Renegade… that one was a daily driver. We lived in the Caribbean (Turks and Caicos), for a while and I actually had it shipped down there by boat, to drive while I was down there… I loved it even more than my TJ. I had it for 11 years before it was stolen and I never saw it again… That was a sad day!

I bought a 97’ in 2000 for $9000….it had 56,000 in it. I drove it and maintained it for another 14yrs. with no major problems. Crank sensor left me stranded one time, but that’s typical for them. 225,000 miles later I sold it and tried to upgrade to JK…..sorry I did. I wouldn’t have hesitated to get in it and drive 1,000mi. to somewhere in it anytime. It was that reliable. Nothing wrong with the JK but man, when you have a good one, hang onto it.

So yes I was surprised to see no panel damage only had to remove the steering Damper as it folded . But was able to drive some 300 klm slowly but yep BOOM them a deth wobel but oul good just had to straten drag link next day . Could have been lots wers. I have hit a fue Roo,s in my life living in out back but that hit would have wrecked most car,s so at 60 years old TJ WRANGLER I would never drive any thing else.

Well done! I’m in the TJ daily club too. My wife has a 4 door JK Sahara, and it has been a GREAT vehicle for the 60,000 we’ve owned it. Much easier to daily, but it doesn’t have the same soul of the TJ. I’ve been driving a Viper for the last couple years, but I sold it this fall so I could buy and build up another TJ, and I don’t regret it at all. I’ve had a few over the years, and I always come back. Yours looks great, man. I just recently got my 35s installed and I love em too. It’s a little more to handle, but not bad at all. Have you had to do any brake upgrades with the 35s?

Tre, I have not done the big brake kit either, but I did follow recommendations of many on the Jeep forums, and I bought some Black Magic front brake pads and Centric rotors. Wow, the difference is real. After the break in period, my Jeep is stopping better than it was on 33s when it had fresh normal pads. Black Magic brakes are no joke, and for about $260 it’s more than worth the upgrade! Check them out 💪
