Jeep TJ Project: Ep. 1 Transmission Leak Repair

Today marks another set of videos coming to the channel where I rebuild my recently acquired 1998 Jeep Wrangler TJ Sport. In this first episode I am pulling the transfer case and drivetrain to replace the rear main seal of the transmission, transfer case seal, and transmission oil pan gasket.
Don’t worry I have plenty of other content coming soon but I’m just working on the Jeep occasionally too!

I recently pulled my transfer case and there wasnt any gasket between the trans and the transfer case. Just an fyi in case someone sees the same. Great video and nicely explained.

What was the torque that you used in the bolts for the transmission pan ?

First comment! ... i really hope my bad trans leak isnt this bad, and like you I'm "praying" its just the pan gasket as i already have this ready, i really dont wanna have to drop the transfer😖... did this fiz yours tho mate ?

Great video. Especially liked the Lack of heavy metal background music ad lame attempts at standup comedy. I've been working only 2000 TJ for a month now, at a considerably slower pace then you. I was bout worn out watching your video. LoL.
